Power Rangers Dino Charge 5" Vivizord Gallery
21 Attachment(s)
Vivix! Merge and form DEVASTATO...er...VIVIZORD!
When one giant monster isn't enough, the evil foot soldiers of Sledge, known as Vivix, begin crawling on top of each other and eventually merge to form the evil giant monster known as Vivizord! These behemoth monsters have little intelligence and serve to do little more than be canon-fodder for the Dino Charge Megazord and Ptera Charge Megazord. But how does the 5" figure hold up? Let's take a look shall we? The Figure First off it's important to note that this guy is HEAVY! He is definitely not a hallow piece of plastic - he is a brick and he's ready to be cemented at the feet of the Rangers! Featuring very limited articulation (leg and arm movement ... that's it), he's still pretty beefy and has a TON of sculpting details. Say what you will about the overall look or quality of toys made by Bandai America, but lately they are knocking these sculpts for the villains OUT OF THE PARK! This is easily one of my top "WOW!" figures in terms of how it looks and the amount of details they put in to the figure. Again, you're not going to get him in to ... well, in to any pose really. But the detail on his mouth-hands (is that a term?) and his overall body will keep your occupied and is just about makes up for the lack of articulation. The Accessories Sadly, there are no accessories with the Vivizord. It could have been cool to include a little plastic mold of like two or three Vivix glued together ... but that would have probably broken the bank and caused this guy to have NO paint applications from the waist down. Easily forgivable. The Good!
The Bad!
Overall Conclusion! There's not much to say about this guy in terms of selling him to you or getting you to avoid him. His entire purpose is to give your 5" Megazords something to fight. And ironically, the articulation from those figures and this guy will pretty much be identical to the poses shown in the actual show during Megazord battles. If you're collecting, yes, buy this guy. If you're only getting cool pieces, this guy LOOKS cool but will not be one of those figures you can't put down. I recommend him only because I don't have any regret buying him like I do some of the others (CURSE YOU SLAMMER!). Happy hunting! He's currently available (until Supercharge figures hit, then he's not apparently in the case assortment!) |
So it's the Vivix attempting to cosplay Godzilla lol.
Wow. This guy looks amazing. It's my first time seeing this design. It's very very cool. The limited articulation is a shame--really should be able to move its mouth at least, but still. Wows. I want one. I need one.
I really like the Vivizord! So much that I bought 5 figures of them, one of them being used as a phone stand. I give props to Bandai for giving us the Vivizord, as well as 5 inch Megazord figures for them to fight.
Eh, this guy's alright. Not the biggest fan of the design, but I'll admit they did pull it off accurately to the show. BOA gets credit for the villain figures this year, just for putting in so many details :)
So what we have here is a toy of a monster with hand-mouths, formed from what amounts to a massive orgy of smaller, lesser monsters.
I'm sold. |
Lol Devasataor reference.
Not gonna lie, this looks ausmnone~! |
Somehow this guy reminds me of a mix between Godzilla, a hydra and... a slug?
That is pretty cool,I like the detail. This is like the most vilian heavy line up I ever recall seeing in a ranger line.
I really like this figure but I really wish they would have put a swivel for shoulders to give it a bit more movement. I guess I should just be happy they even bothered to make a figure of it.
I enjoy the figure, the paints really cool though I wish they put a swivel in the elbows so the forearms could move side to side. Other than that I was wondering ever since we got the Megazords if they'd give us the Vivizords as well.
This is also part of the reason I want ToQger adapted, because if they continue their streak with the monsters, then we could get some of the more interest Shadow Line designs. |
Love that they made this, and it looks even better in these shots then the official ones IMO. Can't wait to finally find some in the wild to fight my five inch megazords.
Man I love the look of this even with.black wash it's. Just pops.
I am far from a Sentai expert, so this guy is new to me. That's a gorgeous design and a really nice looking figure.
Too bad about the articulation, but at the price, there's probably not a lot more they could have done. |
The figure looks nice I'll get
Given how the design is to begin with it's easy to give the articulation a free pass, the sculpt is great, the paint too, and the simple fact that they gave us baddies for the Megazords is great.
Ha, awesome! Awesome looking enough for me not to care about the limited articulation. Heck, it looks like it has what it needs anyway. Looking forward to it!
While it could definitely have better articulation, that paint job is just too amazing to pass up. If I see one of these I might just have to get it, if for any reason, to give my Gundams something to fight!
Mucho BRAVE!
It's also interesting to see the tiny BoA Kyoryujin. He looks... kinda better than the real deal, proportionally-speaking. I could actually imagine that figure doing a samba. I'd never looked closely enough at the designs on the Zorima. It's covered in fossil patterns - neat! |
My absolute favorite monster design from Kyoryuger gets a 5 inch figure! Great gallery, I absolutely love this figure.
this is great to have for rangers team to battle with. i hope to see more of these monster trends be release.
Bandai America isn't my favorite company but at least they're producing villain toys like this handsome fella and best of all he's not hollow! (*cough cough Hasbro cough*)
Lots of neat paints apps on this Vivizord. The Power Rangers are always going to be the main selling point but it's always nice to have some villains to fight. |
Germy like Godzilla creatures? Take my money while I shutup.
He's very well painted
I do love the paint detail on him. Like other people say, he does look like Godzilla a bit. I think his design is more similar to the 1998 American Godzilla design, but that's just me.
Love the Vivizord. It would be nice if they made a large scale version of it to battle the Deluxe Megazords. :)
I think something they should've done is give him hinging jaw arms. That would've been awesome and made him a definite buy for me.
That aside, I think he looks beautiful. The painting and details look great (Down right amazing for a BOA toy) and it's great to know that he's not a hollow shell of plastic. |
Aw, I was looking forward to this one but I thought he'd at least have outward movement as well. Hm... he still looks cool, so maybe I'll get him cheaply, assuming that's possible.
That's kind of beautiful. I can look past the brickness just for the sculpt and paint alone.
I think they could have at least put in a mouth joint. A bit of a shame, but it's still a really cool design.
I like how the vivizord looks like Godzilla and bandai made this figure with great detail. But I'm confused on why it's called a zord if it's not a robot.
Welp, thats quite the weird design
Love this design but would love a Megazord sized version.
While not a fan of the figure overall, I do really appreciate the paint apps.
I love this form, I can't recall a monster who changed shape so drastically when it grew since Scorpina back in MMPR!
It's great that Bandai is finally making basic monsters again. Hopefully we'll see some megazord-sized vinyls later down the road too.
With this and the 5inch Megazords, Dino Charge is getting a lot of play options with these toys. I don't mind the limited articulation on this one, for photo stuff. I can't recall a huge number of poses I'd need to make from Kyoryuger/PRDC anyway. Great gallery!
This guy looks really, really cool. Shame that I'll never find him in stores. Also, I'm looking forward to Slammer review, given how much you've been complaining about him.
Figure looks great! Doubt I will get it. I would much prefer giant sized monsters to go up against my megazords.
He looks very nice. If I find one I'm going to snag on
