So I took my SHF Magnugiga apart, and when I was putting it back together, I left the head for last, and I realized...Magnugiga is a giant bull head. The toso is shaped like the head, with the black detailing resembling eyes and a nose, and the black shoulder parts look like horns. Wow. Ryuki's designs continue to surprise me. Or maybe I'm just really dense.
Provided I'm not just imagining this. Though I don't think I am. |

The Decadriver is a camera.

MY GOD. I love the driver from Decade, and it was my first Rider. How did I not see this? |
Quote:
Huh. I never realized that. |
One of the first shots in the opening is actually a match cut between Tsukasa's camera and the Decadriver (among other lenses), too. The show was subliminally spelling it out the whole time!

Since there was recently a Faiz discussion in the General Questions thread, I wonder how many people realize where Auto Vajin arms went when he transforms into his bike mode. It took me till the sh figurearts to realize it.

I always figured it's transformation made it clear :lol

Of course, now that I'm thinking even more about it, Decade actually has a very heavy photography theme. The cards? They're not cards, they're photos. That I figured out while watching Orb, when I was wondering why his cards were so weird to me, which was because I was constantly comparing them to Decade's which are all mugshots of the character in question instead of drawings. Oh, and the Ride Booker is a photo album. EDIT: Also, the Auto-Vaijin has the most obvious motorcycle to human transformation ever. Seriously, it's harder to find any toy doing that trick in any other way. |

Is it bad that it took me 3 years to figure out how Den-O's armor works? Sort-of, I'm still not entirely sure how Gun Form works.
Also, I think the Den-Gasher's whole gimmick might be a reference to the connections between trains, but I might also be looking too hard into it. Den-O's really all over the place when it comes to aesthetic theming. Maybe I should just bother my brother about it, considering his response to the Decadriver thing was "Well, duh?" |

They're not written the same way, but...I just realized Oki Kazuya was probably named after Taki Kazuya.
You know. Probably. I'd be surprised if this wasn't the case. |
So uhh....mind = blown

I thought we all geeked out on this when it aired? I know I brought it up.
|
I noticed it too when it first aired, and I haven't even seen Jetman.
|
Hey the thread's called obvious/obscure for a reason.
I didn't even realize those blocks Ex-Aid used to hit for power ups before the prop guys got lazy were meant to be chocolate bars until like episode 20, and there's even a line in the first episode where Emu blatantly points out that "Mighty eats candy to get stronger" as he's hitting one. |

Does that make Ex-Aid a food-themed Rider by extension? :lol |

Which is part of why I say Ex-Aid handles its theme so well. I could actually buy Mighty Action being a real game that people would actually want to play. Sure, maybe not in this world that already has Mario and such, but as a sort of alternate verse version? Absolutely could see this as a real product. |

Did they now? Would explain why they had actual gameplay footage for it unlike the rest of the Gashats.
...Why do I get the feeling it's probably crap? |
Today I learned that the swimming pool that Miu and her friends chilled out by in an early episode of Fourze is a location that's been used in so many porno films that it's become a huge meme in Japan.
Ew. |
I noticed a lot of toku alumni are still playing high school students in their late 20's or even early 30's. While sometimes the female lead of their drama is a decade younger than them or under 18 when they do those awkward romantic scenes. Also, just noticed Gekiblue and his twin brother voiced Yuto and Yugo in Yugioh. It also reminds me Dekayellow was in Yugioh and the new Dekaranger movies are coming out.
|
It took me owning a toy of it to realize this, but dangerous zombie genm's suit, shares no parts with any of the rider suits from ex-aid, it's completely original. Even something as simple as the shoes are new molds. And I don't think any other form will share parts with it so that's quite an interesting move from toei

I just realized....
http://orig02.deviantart.net/be5c/f/...oc-dajoc3v.png The black spot under Ex-Aid's goggles sort of resembles a mustache.....kinda like a certain italian plumber... |
