I don't have a pink gundam marker yet, but when I get one, I'll probably replace the triangles on ankle parts. And after taking pictures of the belt, I realized there's some silver parts I missed, namely the frame around the "screen" (and they really should've been painted that before the sticker). |

I use acrylic paints in an airbrush which generally requires me to repaint entire parts or mask off areas. |

What you say about color seems a good idea, I think you can buy them individually, do you have any reference for those you mentionned ? Quote:

A friend that painted warhammer figurine told me to wash the plastic, to paint it with a special paint (gray, that act like a undercoat), then to repaint it (that means all the figure then) Is it the way ? or can I paint it directly ? I already wash plastic before mounting to try to remove oil so the stickers stick a bit longer (don't know if it really helps) Thanks for your answer ! Neoxul |
Gold = Gundam Marker GM04
Silver = Gundam Marker GM05 Black = Gundam Marker GM38 Airbrush is a lot more work. I do not recommend unless you want to repaint the whole model. Markers and paintbrush are better for just details. For warhammer figure, you have to use a primer (the undercoat which can be any color, but usually grey). That is because you paint those figures with acrylic based paint and that doesn't stick to plastic without the undercoat. Gundam marker are alcohol based so you can paint directly. This is why I think they are best for details. Washing does help. Newer model kits are better at being clean right out of the box. Old kits from the 80s and 90s had lots of oil on them. I always wash the runners if I plan to do a full repaint. Oil from your hands also interferes with paint and stickers. |
