S.H.Figuarts Shinkocchou Seihou Ultraman Tiga revealed!
4 Attachment(s)
Celebrating his 25th anniversary, Ultraman Tiga will be the first Ultraman to be released under the "Shinkocchou Seihou"-brand!
Revealed through scans of Figure Oh-magazine, Tiga will retail for 6600 Yen and most likely be released around July or August 2021. More details are surely to be revealed over the course of this week. https://www.taghobby.com/archives/516526 http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1614099296 |

TAKE IT! TAKE IT I SAY! |
What is Shinkocchou Seihou?

I haven't watched his show, but his opening theme is a a banger! Also, it seems that he is gonna be important in Trigger.
I better grab him now than never, then. |
This is also really funny to me because it's the second time in a row where of the few SHFs I wanted them to make, it comes out way before I expected others to. First Naki came out way earlier than expected, and due to Orthoros probably WAY ahead of Rampage Gatling which I thought would happen earlier; and now Tiga which... I didn't think would be late, but I certainly expected Z Original to happen before him! At this rate I'll actually see Shinkocchou Seihou Kamen Rider Aqua happen :lol
|
And if you want Power, Sky, Dark, and Glitter, buy four more and paint them accordingly. :lolol
|
Very happy Seihou is including more franchises. Hopefully Gridman will be included sometime in the future.

Haha this makes me want to hold off on any Ultraman SHF for an SS version instead.
Maybe someday a Metal Hero too. |

But gosh darn does that figure look nice. |

Not sure if this is meant to be the unpainted prototype or a tease for Statue Tiga. :lol |

Looking over the photos, I don't think it's just image manipulation; I think this may have a light-up eyes gimmick. I seem to recall them demoing doing this with Rider several years ago.

Thank God for July release. Ugh I need to preorder fast because you know this is gonna be so hard to get.
The real question is how they will handle Glitter Tiga? Is it going to be clear-ish plastic, or straight up gold paint like Zero Beyond Galaxy Glitter? Side note, Galaxy Glitter looks way more beautiful than in the actual appearance. |

There's a Tamashii drop tomorrow on Friday, July and August retail releases. It's possible they officially reveal Tiga the day he goes up for pre-order so be prepared.

Why don't they use hips like the SS Kamen Riders?

Like, the Saint Seiya guy is a July release, Goku Black is August. https://tamashii.jp/item_announced/202102/ |

Based on the figure does anybody know the major difference of it being the Seihou? I only saw the arm joints being more hidden but that's it. Ultraman SHF generally looks so damn good. |

He uses the same hip joint set up as the OOO line (the non-ball joint one with the little covering underneath), and the same elbows. It's not shown or advertised, but I think I THINK it also uses the same soft plastic crotch as SS Black. His proportions are also based on the suit actor, Shunsuke Gondo. I think it's him. |
I just realised - if they're bringing the franchise into Shinkocchou Seihou, do you think we'd see a renewal of Ultraman himself?
I know he hardly NEEDS one, and he only came out 5 years ago, and they haven't been terribly shy about re-issuing him... but it'd be weird to do a Seihou Ultraman line without, well, Ultraman, right? Granted, it did take about 3 years for Seihou to do Rider 1; but Showa Ultraman merch seems to get a lot more attention than its contemporaries in Rider and Sentai. |
A Tamashii Nations popup store is coming to New York later this week.
https://www.tamashiinations.com/popup/ny2021/ I kind of doubt there will be anything new shown here, but I do plan to visit and will report back. The Twitter post says there will be "exclusive and rare items to fans and collectors for a limited time!" |

I'm hoping Brave Dragon will be available there. Edit: whoops did not mean to derail this thread, I mistook it for the general Figuarts thread. I'm happy to see Shinkocchou Seihou open up to other franchises! *cough* Metal Heroes *cough* |

Tiga goes up for pre-order next Monday, March 8th in Japan.
The figure will feature "soft materials" so something along the lines of Seihou Kamen Rider Black probably. Accessories are 6 replacement left and 5 replacement right hands, Zeperion Ray effect piece, replacement color timer and a "special" booklet. Probably a little behind the scenes booklet they used to include with the first couple of Shinkocchou Seiohu releases. https://hobby.dengeki.com/news/1197904/ http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1614885235 |
Lots of more new pictures and videos.
