I saw somebody suggest the significance of the theme song's title being a palindrome is that it represents things having two sides, and I really like that idea. I don't know if that's the explicit intention behind it or not, but it absolutely fits what Revice is all about, and that same theme comes across very strongly in this episode. There are a lot of people who have these two equal and inseparable parts to them that are complete opposites, yet the same, that also meet in the middle. You see it with Ikki, whose desire to help his family just as quickly becomes an excuse to ignore his brother's requests. You see it with Daiji, whose strong sense of responsibility creates this impatient undercurrent of frustration at his own inability to act. You see it with Ayaka, who lets her longing for familial affection be twisted into causing that same family pain. And you even see it with Ayaka's mother, who loves her daughter so much, she forgot to show her daughter any love.
Yeah, that's the exact scene I was thinking of! I think it shows the importance of finding a balance in life, similar to Ghost. Except here it shows the negative sides of those emotions. Too much happiness makes you self-indulgent. Too much sadness makes you lonely. Too much responsibility makes you miss out on your dreams. The concept that the devil can act as both toxic peer pressure and a reminder that you're not the center of everybody's universe. I think this show is doing a lot of clever things so far.

I guess they saved her for bigger stuff compared to Olteca and Julio before, of being the one to present contracts and Phase 2 Deadmans. Like the other 2, she also persuades the ViStamp users to do her bidding, and though she carries it in a calm and affable manner like Olteca, there's still obvious maliciousness behind her smile and joy she presents to others. It's a show about how upbeatness can turn someone menacing instead, and it'd portray Aguilera's complete ego to accomplish tasks without much effort, which means she won't treat others seriously, constantly taunting others, potentially to create a demon out of them figuratively, knowing that they won't stand against her power and/or charisma. Seems similar to George's style of speaking, and probably would be the evil counterpart to George in that case, if George is a good guy at the end anyway (him in this episode responds to Daiji's request more seriously, to guide him to update instead of mocking him). She'd even literally step on others (obligatory "I wish it was me in Ikki's place") as if they're not there... t̶h̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶I̶'̶m̶ ̶s̶a̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶b̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶u̶n̶f̶o̶r̶t̶u̶n̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶v̶i̶e̶w̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶M̶i̶s̶o̶r̶a̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶B̶u̶i̶l̶d̶,̶ ̶w̶h̶o̶ ̶l̶i̶t̶e̶r̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶w̶a̶l̶k̶e̶d̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶B̶a̶n̶j̶o̶u̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶e̶p̶.̶ ̶3̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶l̶i̶t̶t̶l̶e̶ ̶r̶e̶g̶a̶r̶d̶.̶
Good comparison! If George is a Kamen Rider fan, then Aguilera could be a kaijin fan, who gets excited when the stronger Deadmans appear. I guess Aguilera only interacting with humans who show potential to become Phase 2 Deadman or higher must mean she has personal interest in them. Like those golf guys from before had a mutual grudge, but Ayaka's problem is more personal, being her "false happiness of family" from having to tolerate her mother's neglect, which is exactly the same thing that Aguilera hates. Since Ayaka reaching Phase 2 means becoming Gif's daughter and Aguilera is Gif's fiancee, then that means Aguilera wanted Ayaka as her daughter as well, so she could nurture her devil and free her from her loneliness. Like she wants to replace Ayaka's family since she deems herself as only one who truly cares about her. It's a very twisted philosophy, which makes me wonder what kind of terrible backstory she has to make her hate family so much.
