You can tell this show was a real passion project that meant alot to many of the people involved. The various influences from kabuki, music, and life in general, all make for an overall great atmosphere and an enjoyable watch.
I only think that, the part of the Oni combining their music attack is a wasted potential, like it's not actually implemented as a band playing.

It actually sort of reminds me of both Kuuga and Wizard in that aspect; Where many other toku shows are focused on merchandise, or action, or dramatic plot beats, Hibiki is not only a bit more down to Earth, but mainly focuses on celebrating life, and the various harmonies therein. The musical number that opens the show says it all, really.
For Hibiki being enjoyable due to this, what do you think about the notion of conflicts being the most memorable moment and are more entertaining storytelling than everyone getting along? Basically "conflict is the soul of drama" mindset.
