I'm a little confused as too why Daiji was all like "Hiromi give me your strength!" and then proceed to use Jackal something that belongs to him and Ikki. Would've made more sense had Daiji stole the Condor Vistamp or another one of Demon stuff to use.

I do find it amusing that Hiromi's nowhere to be seen but he was mentioned at least three times and Vice's whole issue this episode stems from what George did to Hiromi. |

We should be renaming the show Kamen Rider Revice-O next week.

It feels super appropriate for Revice how quickly the issue of Vice "betraying" Ikki with his newfound freedom was resolved. Like, I fully expected that the twist of Jack Revice would be that it's actually a way to further build trust between the two of them, rather than break it down, but I also expected there to be a little of the latter happening to get to the former. But no, instead, everyone in this episode is so dead-set on pretending to be less alright than they are, between Vice, Aguilera, and even Kagerou, of all people, that Daiji, Sakura, and Ikki all figured out what's going on without too much hassle.
The problem with that approach could end up being an episode that lacks in meaningful drama, but the show is smart to shift the focus while it's doing this onto the shady nature of Weekend, reframing the issue of Jack Revice to be less about Ikki and Vice's relationship, and more about who put them in this situation to begin with, and why. As is generally the case for Revice, it's a really well-rounded episode of Kamen Rider. You've got the character-building for Aguilera being made explicit, Live and Evil in one episode, Lovekov being unusually active (probably trying to steal Vice's popularity, no doubt), and, on that note, Vice being surprisingly cool. Shibasaki's direction is still really felt in the action, too. That finisher on the Shark Deadman in particular once again demonstrates that he has a Sugihara-level talent for making extremely dynamic visuals using composite shots.

Which side is Weekend's leader truly on? If he's truly George's father, he oughta be responsible for bringing out his own Kamen Rider (hopefully Hiromi).

This show has been on fire lately! I really liked how the different character motivations ended up overlapping in this episode, with Vice and Aguilera both acting worse than they are in an attempt to help someone, and how it ended up tying back to the characters of the fortnight and their motivations. I thought it worked really nicely, and I'm really enjoying Ikki and Vice's dynamic at this point. There was plenty of other good stuff too. Daiji and Kagerou are actually allowed to do some stuff! Two Karizakis and the incredibly suspicious activity at Weekend! Lovekov got to talk a bit! Tamaki needs a hug! I think the show has really hit its stride now, since it has an well-roundedness to how it handles all the characters and plot threads that I think it lacked earlier on, and I dig it!

Aw...yeah! Olteca is the TRUE LOSER!!!
It still looks weird why Olteca are escaped and didn't try to kill Daiji and Sakura when they are de-henshin? Anyway, I am really happy the Jack Revice Form are controlled by Vice. This form is so badass and awesome! Also, I think the Weekend scientist is George''s father. Last edited by Blade Fang; 02-21-2022 at 08:32 AM.. |
