For me, Ninninger no question about it!
I already talked about why I despise this show but I will point out about the head producer’s comment on the show Producer Naomi Takebe presented the series as not unlike a Hollywood movie with an "unthinkable ninja" concept. "We wanted to create a concept of out-there ninjas with a festival robot, dragons, fun sounds and anything fun, anything". Wow! That sound like awesome show on paper but the actual show....... it’s basically Takaharu’s variety hour show. A total lie from the producer who is same head producer of Kamen Rider Gaim! Out of Sentai shows that I watched, Ninninger is definitely the worst Sentai show that I ever watch! No wonder why I more into Kamen Rider stuff more than Super Sentai! |

Of the ones I've seen, Ninninger is certainly my least favourite. But I'm still able to find a lot of things I like about it -- Starninger was wonderful; Kyuemon was a fantastic villain; and i really liked the overall themes they were going for even if I don't feel it was executed well. Though the previous Sentai and Jiraiya cameos were used for fantastic effect; perhaps more than most returning characters in other shows.

When I was a little kid, I always look forward of watching the mecha fights.
But now, the mecha fights starting to become repetitive and kill any love I have for mecha fights (at least Super Sentai one) Mecha fights from any anime shows are more entertaining than Super Sentai’s mecha fights. (Come at me!) |

Naomi Takebe (The head producer of Ninninger) brought up the nature of the series' robot, which has what initially appears to be a lack of unifying theme in its components: a humanoid robot, a dragon, a dump truck, a dog, and a train. She said that the Super Sentai series had long been keeping with these motifs in the robots, but the series' special effects director Hiroshi Butsuda had grown bored of these themes and felt the show would benefit from picking major themes from the franchise's past. Takebe also said that she hoped that the multiple components of the robot would be in line with the tenets of Cool Japan: the humanoid robot represents budō, the dog emphasizes "kawaii", the truck and train represent Japanese technology while the dragon, which is a European dragon, shows the influence on Japanese culture from abroad.

Out of Sentai shows that I watched, Ninninger is definitely the worst Sentai show that I ever watch! No wonder why I more into Kamen Rider stuff more than Super Sentai! As for me, I'd say the worst is Jetman, I dropped it like 10 episodes early than I dropped Ninninger too, 2 of the rangers were completely irrelevant while the other 3 was all tied up in a love triangle, that CAN work but I simply didn't find Kaori or Gai likeable at all, they're both assholes early in the show and while they do develop, seeing Kaori have multiple episodes dedicated to "waaaaah I got upset and I don't want to do this anymore" wasn't fun, but what really gets me is how they handle the love triangle. Kaori loves Red, Gai loves Kaori and Red just wants to be left out. Gai's a dick to Red out of jealousy, which isn't bad, but I drawed the line at Kaori being told by Red that he's still not over his fiance's death to which she goes "In that case I'll try to win you harder!" What a fucking bitch, knowing that they marry at the end makes this even worse, and shortly afterwards, Gai fuckingforces himself on Kaori. I get that it was a very different time when Jetman aired but I just cannot find any sympathy for "the girl I forced myself on doesn't like me back" at all
