Saber's coming to an end. Need something new to spice up this adaptation!
Anything? New names, bios to make. Some to be better than the originals at least to make up for how COVID ruined the series. |

More time in Wonder World (or whatever you want to call it) would be nice. After midway the series just focused more on the real world.
Also, I don't think it's fair to entirely put the blame on COVID considering how Zero-One still managed to be pretty good.

What would be a suitable name for the "Evil Witch" as the main antagonist of Saber? Something to give vibes of Queen Mab, Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), Ursula (Little Mermaid), Jafar - except he's a sorcerer (Aladdin).
That goes for if Luna's name should be changed. If there's anyway to give her the damsel in distress based on Disney princesses. In the US/CA version of Saber, the witch put her into a deep sleep, but her spirit based on her child self would guide Saber to his journey to her. But yes, we need more Wonder World as the real world does. |

Zero One managed to salvage some of its story from you-know-what, but I can't deny that the pacing was a total disaster, even before that happened. Kiramager was still early in its run, so it was able to adjust better and Saber had the benefit of starting during that period, so you-know-what can only hold so much blame for that. The green screen Megid base is the worst example I can think of.
I wasn't sure what you had planned for this, but yeah, that's a much more satisfying explanation than how it just happened out of nowhere in Saber. It actually reminds me of the plot twist with Lumina in Final Fantasy XIII LR. Intriguing idea!

I question on what to do with the Shindai siblings - Sabela & Durendal in the adaptation. Either make them truly siblings or a couple - husband & wife? You've seen how Reika reacted towards Mei when she was at her brother and that ticked her off. Same with how Saber used Kaiji when she reacted angrily for using her brother's sword.
I'm thinking that while in the original Reika deceives Saber's comrades against him and is also the Smoke Swordswoman, in the adaptation the witch tricks Saber's comrades against him, while Sabela can be adapted into a so-called best friend of Mei's counterpart who's in turn a spy for the witch and at service with Master Logos. Got any good suitable names suitable for the witch villain? Sabela/Fabia: Fabia is a friend of Sami's, who's in reality the Smoke Swordswoman in service to Master Logos & the witch, joined with her husband in their service to them. Fabia deceives Sami in finding the Northern Base so that they can attack where they least expect it. Thought about that like in Ninja Storm with Thunder Strangers Part 2 with the Thunder Rangers. |

Reika was the most unlikable and insufferable character in the show for me, as I couldn't tolerate how she tortured poor Sophia and refused to apologize. She even continued to do terrible things to Mei and Touma due to her unhealthy brother obsession. So I have every faith that Fabia will be a better character by default.

Durendal/Caspian: Fabia's husband and one of the Sword of Logos' imperial swordsmen. Caspian comes from a rich noble family, as he and Fabia were married by their family's traditions. Both husband and wife were given the swords Kaiji & Noroshi as a family gift. Caspian’s family found them in an antique store.
I thought of Christian Howard to play this character since his time as Ken Masters in Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist. He'd be suited for the role. The counterpart of Durendal, I'm trying to work out is how to make him better than Ryoga. The Sentai crossover with him was embarrassing. Bringing along the Thunder Rangers - Hunter & Blake, was thinking of giving Durendal a Credo vibe, as he questions Master Logos' ideals like Credo slowly questioning Sanctus' actions in the Order of the Sword. Slash/Ozzy: Ozzy is a young musician who's grandfather is a swordsmith. He created his own sword mixing it with a firearm. As the swordsman of sound, he listens to the voice of the sword on what they feel when in battle through victory, defeat or when they're nearing their time.
Blades/Lance Lionheart: Lance is the swordsman of water from the Sword of Logos. He recruits Trevor to join them and becomes a love interest of Sami. Saber/Trevor Pendragon: Trevor was born by magic from Wilhelmina Gothel. When he was born, his mother was killed by the evil witch after child birth. While growing up, as a kid, Trevor meets Clara who starts to develop feelings for as they share stories together. But things had changed, when Gothel manipulates Calibur to send her away from Trevor. Trevor vows to one day save her. His uncle Deacon was the first Saber as he leaves his legacy to his nephew. Wilhelmina Gothel: An evil witch from Wonder World who created Trevor through her magic, killing her birth mother in the process. She makes an alliance with the current Master Logos in her schemes to bring the people back to the "Old Ways". Gothel is also responsible in creating the Megid in her plans. Frik: An elf and Gothel's bumbling yet loyal assistant, who brought Trevor to Wonder World in order for him to become powerful in her cause. Yet despite the evil deeds Gothel has done to Trevor's life, Frik however is kind and loyal to Trevor no matter which side he's on. Last edited by henshinzero; 09-01-2021 at 03:43 PM.. |

Wilhelmina Gothel has got to be the best witch name I've ever heard. Dunno why but the name reminds me of a classic witch found in fairy tales instead of the modern occultic witch you see on TV nowadays.
Also I'm very curious about this 'Old Ways' thing.

What I'm trying to go for is the evil witch is trying to bring Wonder World to our world. Because we read books and imagine what we read, even make up stories as we create them, they come to life in the other world and she wants her world and their kind never to be forgotten. There are 1001 Arabian Nights, Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories and such. |
