Oof, that Hot Shot toy. It's not bad by any means, but considering Hot Shot is my favorite Transformer, I really wish he wasn't just a subpar remold. Especially since Hot Shot hasn't had a toy in forever.

Yeah, it's not bad and I actually like the way it looks but he's not my favourite transformer so I don't have as high expectations for it. Haha. He's a fun little figure to play around with and transform. Though I can definitely feel that the plastic quality is not as good as it used to be which is a little disappointing.

The order with my HLJ Black Friday Kamen Rider bag arrived. Got a mix of stuff. Only one thing I already have, So-Do Build DoctorGamer, everything else is new. Just wish so much of it wasn't Ex-Aid. I've heard good things about the story, but I can't imagine ever liking the Ex-Aid suits.
Also got this wonderful little Kamata-kun keychain! |

Question for you, though. How are those So-Do figs? Is it a lot of difficult-to-place stickers, or mostly molded plastic? Is the production quality solid? Does it fall apart at all?

My first McFarlane figure
Not bad for what is essentially DC Marvel Legends. Wouldn't be opposed to getting a CW Flash when it eventually gets made. |

Got a box of BBTS, with their exclusive version of MK Sektor figure with a flamethrower accessory.
And Fans Hobby's huge, brand spanking new (and apparently very good) Black God Armor |

Ha, sorry. The plastic quality of So-Do is pretty solid. They're around ¥400 each, so it's not the greatest thing ever, but they're pretty fantastic for the cost. No worries of breaking or falling apart. There's a moderate blend of stickers and paint. The Ex-Aid figures were very sticker heavy, but each series since has gotten more and more paint as the line continues to be more profitable and therefore able to afford to put more paint. I highly recommend checking them out, you can get old So-Do at a pretty decent cost on Mandarake

There's also So-Do Chronicle, which covers various past Riders. They've done 4 waves for W, 3 for Den-O, 3 for OOO and 1 for Kuuga. These tend to be pretty paint heavy too, though more expensive, with some waves being P-Bandai exclusive

I recently picked up the available OOO ones as well as Den-O Sword, Wing, Climax and Liner Forms, plus Valkyrie for Zero-One. (Because I love cat riders) It’s a very solid line of cheap, yet fun action figures. Solid, posable, and some feature quite a bit of paint. You can find reviews on YouTube showing their assembly and all the stickers included. I have a broken hand so I just used stickers for now but they’re very not bad and I plan to continue collecting the OOO and upcoming Kuuga ones at least. They feel like a much more satisfying “collector line on a budget” series for past riders than some previous candy toy lines. They almost all come with extra hands, too, making them nicer for display.
Still not sure what the pegs on the backs of the heads are for. I guess maybe I'll keep an eye out at C2E2 in Chicago next month, see if anyone brings any to just grab one, and maybe check eBay once in a while. I don't know. I'm curious, but the more obstacles get put up, the less curious I am. Thanks again!
