Hey guys, quick question. I heard for Mandarake Nakano, they have a really good deal on DHL shipping to the US. How good is that? I have a friend who lives in the US, and wants to buy an SRC that's about $15 from Nakano, and wants to know what DHL shipping would be. Would it be under $15? Thanks.

Amiami still has pre-orders available surprisingly while HLJ doesn't. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/det...%24pagecnt%3D1 |

Cool that it's on AmiAmi still. How is their pre-order service?

And AmiAmi's service is the best for me. No fuss no muss. The only thing with them is no cancellations. That's why everything there sells out so quick usually. They have the lowest prices and they don't charge until stuff is in stock. And even when you choose shipping method when ordering, you can change it right before you pay so if EMS is only a few hundred off of SAL, you can switch it.

the no cancellations thing can suck when you don't know shipping ahead of time. I've come to love hlj because of that.

DHL works even faster for me normally. On more than one occasion, factoring in time zone changes, I've received packages in about 30 hours after they shipped out.

For figures that don't run out quickly, they're a good option.

Well if I go through and get it, it will definitely be a great challenge to make since my modeling skills are still at minipla level.

I began modeling with an HG Gundam model. It's a fun hobby. I can't imagine the figureise 6 will be that difficult.

Yeah, but being able to choose at time of purchase makes up for that imo. Plus at AmiAmi, I'm almost always doing joint orders with friends. So distributing shipping amongst items or just straight splitting makes it very reasonable. And when you import often enough, you pretty much know roughly how much shipping is anyway, it's not like they'll randomly charge you a lot more for no good reason.
* Ami has the rigid order policy and most communications with them comes across like you're just bothering them. A few times they did what I asked without even responding to me. I had to log in and see that it had been done * Ami has great discounts (better than HLJ in most cases) but severely overpriced shipping. This might be because they well-pack things into huge boxes, but still, the prices are up there (my last order was for $220 with $95 in shipping via EMS. A similar order @ HLJ cost me $50 to ship via Fedex) * Ami offers order grouping when making new orders, and grouping previous orders when the releases are in the same month, but HLJ has the private warehouse where I order what I want, then ship what I want, when I want. * Going with the last point, HLJ offers more and cheaper shipping options and tells you the prices up front (when ordering or moving from warehouse to shipping). I just personally feel it's a smoother process. * The DX sell-out times are insane, but at least the restocks can be caught if you watch. On the plus for AMI, they carry more product, meeting more needs, and are usually a few bucks cheaper than HLJ. They also have the point system which is cool. Anywho... Not sure if it's the Amazon competition or what, but TRU has a lot on sale right now. Legacy Dragonzord is down to 59: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...entPage=family I think I'm going to cancel my preorder and reorder.
