Now that Rogue is just beautiful. Still fishing the waters for Prime Rouge for me. You not gonna get Gridon and Bravo's newer forms?

Eventually, yeah, but they aren't a priority for me. Didn't love that two-parter (it's a pretty haphazard story, and the lesson is basically You Will Never Be Better Than Your Mentors?), and the suit designs are intriguing but nothing I'm over the moon about. I am okay waiting for them to be cheap on the aftermarket, because I'm assuming they're going to be very cheap on the aftermarket.

That's a fair interpretation! For me, it erred closer to Gridon abandoning his success to go back to being Bravo's apprentice. It felt like a story that was more about how the success and self-sufficiency of students/children were somehow detrimental to mentors/parents, and how happier everyone would be if kids never stopped needing their parents. It sort of infantilized Gridon in a way? I don't know, it's been forever since I watched Gaim, and a couple months since I watched those shorts, so maybe I'm reading too much into it.
("Maybe I'm reading too much into it" should probably be my motto on these boards...) In simple terms, I guess, you can be successful, self-sufficient, and have pride in your work, but you have to at least never forget the ones who came before and put you there. Interestingly enough, I think I think Cobra Kai, that netflix sequel show of Karate kid (it's cool), does a similar plotline with Mr. Miyagi and Daniel. Edit: My SHF Ultraman Z Alpha Edge finally started moving again! If everything goes right, it should come within the week or maybe early next week. |

I thought the lesson was 'Buy the new CSM Gaim toys today!'. Also, I'll keep griping about this, but Lychee Arms looks NOTHING like a lychee. A repainted Durian Arms would look closer to a lychee! They massacred my favorite fruit.

That OOO Eyecon is a little horrifying, but that is a terrific collection. Great work!

Honestly? Eyecons used to be one of my least favourite gimmicks, partially because of how much I dislike the Ghost Driver (it's very bulky, and unlike something like the gamer driver it's not for anything interesting as it's as simple a gimmick as the more elegant Decadriver), but after having this eyecon for a while? Kind of endeared itself to me! Very nice shape, honestly very cute, and unlike most other gimmick items I can think of you actually have different display options! I've got it at the green eye right now because it's most eye-catching, but I've also had it showing the head before and sometimes the symbol. Just a very nice little thing especially for a display like this!

This is going to sound weird, but I was once given a "broken" Eyecon for free. I opened it up to fix it (it was just dirty) and then decided to lube the internals with plastic teflon grease and now it feels amazingly good to use. In fact I've started to lube a lot of my other gimmick devices. Astroswitches in particular are greatly improved with a little grease.
