My cousin introduced me to Doctor Who. I don't know what I thought it was before, but it was completely different than I expected. It was amazing. I think I saw the first two episodes of series 6 and then watched series 5 first. I went back and watched the 9th and 10th Doctors also. I haven't seen the old stuff, but I kind of want to. Daleks and Weeping Angles are my favorite and also the most terrifying.

You know what was awesome? The Stolen Earth, The Wedding of River Song, basically all Doctor Who two-parters. I can't think of a bad one.

I can think of a few bad ones, The End of Time, The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People and a few other mid-season two-parters. Besides, The Wedding of River Song wasn't a two-parter.

That is a great episode. But then I love anything with Bill Nighy. I could listen to that man read the phone book.

I didn't like how the Tenth Doctor was handled. Instead of ending with a bang, he ended with a whimper, whining about having to die and blaming Wilfred for having to die.
The Tenth Doctor had a great run, but it would have been great for him to have ended with courage and some of that cheekiness he always had. The Ninth Doctor did a great job of that, willingly giving up his life for Rose and joking about it at the same time. I understand that is the natural reaction for someone in that position, heck I would have refused to regenerate with all my power, probably screamed at Wilfred too. I was just hoping that after so much build-up we could see the Doctor heroically face death. I believe ZeoRangerV has other misgivings about these episodes, but this is my primary complaint. Quote:
I thought of listing that, but I really don't hate those two. They were corny and silly, but I don't think anything truly terrible happened then. I liked that it explored a bit more about Dalek psychology.

Comic... that was the point. Ever since the prophecy at the end of Planet of the Dead, the Tenth Doctor knew he was going to die. Cemented when in The Waters of Mars he went to far with his power. Saving people meant to die for the good of humanity. That was why the episode never ended with this huge climatic battle. Because it wasn't about that. It was about a man, knowing he was going to die, and not wanting to. Having to come to terms with destroying his race. Losing The Master and his final heroic act. And Wilfred. That was why Tenth went from era to era, place to place, on a goodbye tour. Closing old wounds, and his past, before moving on to the future. It also mirrored what David was going through irl. Not wanting to leave, but knowing he had to. Because he wanted to move on before it become a job.
