The price is one thing, the other issue is that this set is a GSC online shop exclusive, meaning even after the lottery sale you cannot order it elsewhere and they don’t offer pre-order discounts.
So when a shop like AmiAmi or HLJ might've offered it for 1000-2000 yen off... yeah that's not happening here. Plus shipping you might look at something in the range of 10000 yen and that's definitely way too much for what you're getting here. EDIT: Although the order period after the lottery sale wave might not be exclusive? The wording is a bit fuzzy. If it's available through other retailers the price should be a little bit better. Anyways, the set will come with a special sleeve with artwork matching the Full Power Gridman set and that's pretty cool looking. Last edited by Kiwami; 06-01-2021 at 03:14 AM.. |

It’s just the lottery that’s exclusive. The wording on GSC’s page is just weird because they want to advertise the fact you can buy it directly through them.

I'll rather get it later with pre-order discounts. |

Talk about cutting it close. Just ordered one off Mandarake. Who knows if it will make it here in time...

Okay... NOW I see what all the fuss is about. (^o^')
In short, this is one phenomenal toy that puts the original Full Power Gridman to shame! The combination is solid, there're die-cast pieces, ratchet joints all over, a stand that can store all the extra parts, a crazy cool spring-loaded missile-hatch-opening gimmick, so on and so forth. So far, the thing that impresses me most is how they built in added points of in-and-out arm articulation into the arm housing in Dynastriker. Like... they thought of everything. (^.^') On top of all of that, they had the rather brilliant idea to make this toy a prop replica as the individual components do appear they do appear as toy-sized in the show. Only thing that makes me slightly disappointed is how the front skirt armor doesn't peg in securely on Dynawing. Those ball joints are already rather loose and will only get looser with time. All in all, though, I'm seriously impressed. |

So just a clarification now that the Goldburn/Gridknight set is up for preorder:
It is a GSC exclusive item. So places like Amiami won't be getting it.

10,800 yen for the set including shipping is ridiculous. EDIT: What's the shipping price like on the US store? I can't use it to see, but I'm curious to know what kind of shipping price they offer you guys.

Shoot. I hoped this would be available everywhere, the price is too expensive for me, especially with shipping I could’ve saved by bundling it with a monthly AmiAmi order.
Oh well, the order window will be open for a bit, if the show blows me away and makes me think I need this then maybe I'll buy it. But on the other hand, Dynazenon by itself is already a great display piece and I prefer it over Kaiser Gridknight. And displaying Gridknight and Goldburn on their own - don’t know if I want to pay the price they're asking for that. |

The Moderoid looks good! I hope its closer to the Minipla line. I also really dig the joystick thing. I can't wait to see if I can mod it into a function joystick.
