Not all are like that because I actually like the power ranger parts I seen of the trailers which please my inner child but the rest that has to do with the high school drama crap does bother me so much.

China also has what's called "Armor Hero". And S. Korea has something called "Legend Hero". Both shows are rather Rider like, but Legend Hero has a Sentai aspect to it with mechas.

Yes, but what I mean is I don't see the movie doing anything to really add new fans to Toku.

If you mean by superheroes inspire by Kamen Rider, Super Sentai or Ultraman. I remember we have a few that do.

Does anybody know any kids that want to see the movie? Because the one thing I know the older do not want is high school drama crap so who is it aimed for?

Also also, that animated Guillermo Del Toro show on Netflix, Trollhunters, is a Kamen Rider show in all aspects except for it being animated and made in English. We know Del Toro is a huge toku fan cause... Freaking Pacific Rim. Yet another example of non-Japanese toku. Non-Japanese toku is like, allllllllllll over the place these days if you look hard enough. |

I think even Doctor Who is considered toku due to the special effects.

Tokusatsu just means "Special Effects" just like anime means Animation. In Japan, any movie or TV show with large use of special effects is Toku. Not all Toku is Henshin superheroes or giant monsters. I would not call Doctor Who and Pacific Rim toku at all if you ask me.
