Sorta. Amazon can "have" any Ultra-Act courtesy of third-party sellers. That's how any Japanese-only and exclusive Ultra ends up there, like the renewal Ultraman. You are right though, this renewal Leo preorder is from Bluefin thanks to the new deal. Father's upcoming reissue and all future Showa Ultraman characters will no longer be such a problem, which should cool down the crazy secondary market as more of the brothers are reissued.

EDIT: Yay, just got my shipping notice after 1:30 in the morning! Hopefully it doesn't take this long to ship stuff out when Dark Zagi and Blade King Form come in stock next month. Last edited by Lbsammills51; 11-11-2013 at 04:39 AM.. |

I got Gaia V2 in the mail yesterday from Amiami. He looks fantastic boxed, but have not opened him. Contemplating what exactly to do with him now that I have made my "Showa only" arrangement.

Gaia looks looks cool; wish it wasn't a web exclusive but oh well.
Additionally, Jonias arrived today. I got the silver version. For a Tamashii exclusive, it's not exactly lacking in the accessory department. For some reason, I've had some issues to keep him standing when I spread his legs out wide. No matter how much I fiddle with him to find the right balance, he often feels a little...off. He can stand, but in some poses the slightest movement can send him falling. The body's a bit more stockier than the usual Ultra, so he has a commanding presence, like Father. Hands pop back on easily enough but taking them off feels like it takes a wee bit more force than usual (compared to the Showa Ultras, anyways). The way they hands are molded into each effect part, it might be a little trickier to get it to peg into the wrist joint snuggly, but eventually they pop on securely. It's a nice release; I would've been tempted to get the anime version but there's already too much stuff I've purchased or want to from last month through Christmas, so I only went with this one. I am glad I got him now since I don't know if I'd be as motivated to hunt one down should the price rise dramatically on the secondary market. I've noticed that neither version has shown up on Mandarake yet (unless a mismarked one got past my saved searches on Figinstock, or it sold super-duper quick) even though the other October web exclusive Figuarts have made multiple appearances, so I'm curious how widely available either version of this guy will be. |
