Those looks fantastic, but I have neither space nor money to start collecting another candy toy line. One other fun thing from today's blog, new Mandela effect dropped. We’re now in the timeline where Kamen Rider W through Wizard aired in the 90s I guess

Remember that time Fourze and Wizard fought a giant Shadow Moon? Good times.

I recently started getting Shodo figures, and I'm curious/confused about something. The difference between So-Do and Shodo is pretty obvious, but what's the difference between Shodo-O and Shodo-X? So far I've gotten two boxes of each, and the main differences seems to be over all box size/number of units or however you want to state it, and the two X series had bikes included. So is the difference in classification just the presence or absence of bikes, or other large accessories, as well as number of figures, or is it something else?

I believe they do contain a little more and have a bit more paint and hence cost more as you've said, but yeah, basically the exact same thing

The difference is theming mostly and bit of budget.
The line started as ShodoVS. The theme of that was Versus of course with each wave including Riders AND Villains. They started with Showa Riders and monsters. Quickly adding troopers and Heisei stuff. Line was refreshed into Shodo-X. Shodo-X replaces the villains and troopers with Rider Machines, the bikes and mecha. I believe X is meant to "cross" (how X is pronounced in Japan) because Rider Machines are in 2 boxes and needed to be crossed or combined to make it. This also allowed them to do remakes of past figures. Anyways, the Rider Machines and accessory/form changes take up so much space in the waves that there wasn't room for much else other then the main hero's stuff. There was a lot of demand for the everything else that X just wasn't making. So enters Shodo-O, or Outsider. This marks the return of villains, troopers, rivals, etc. Basically no main Riders and and only some secondaries if they were an antagonists for a while. Aside from theme, O does cost a little more than X, but they come with little more per box to. Like Kabuto's weapons were in an accessory box in X while Dark Kabuto's weapons just came with the figure in O. That kind of stuff. |

Cool, thanks for the info, guys! I hadn't really thought about it, but yeah I did notice the difference in accessory allocation between the O and X sets.
I initially started picking up a few sets to get characters I didn't have in Figuarts form, like Grease, Blood Stalk, & Wild Chalice. But I really like them other than them being like RKF figures in not having back paint, so I'm probably getting a lot more. |

How are the new weapon holding hands on the Ryuki and Gaim lines? Do they eventually loosen?
To be completely honest I LOVE the original 3mm holes and weapon pegs because the rotation allows you to pull off poses that even Figuarts would never be able to achieve. |

As for Ryuki, the holding hand isn't the strongest holding hand to begin with but I haven't noticed any loosening, though I don't really use it that much. A 3mm accessory would not fit in it.

Going back to the discussion from earlier today - just opened up Wild Chalice, and wow. The amount/quality of stuff he comes with compared to say, Den-O or Zeronos really is crazy.
