The original Kamen Rider show is great because I always like how the show deals with a normal guy that lost his humanity after becoming a cyborg. I also love vintage stuff as well. I did watch most of it via fan sub ages ago, but I can finally watch the full show officially now.
I do think some things in the show has not aged well, but I still think the show is worth a look.

Didn't the show almost flop if not for Nigou's popularity?
Like, I love the cheesy everything with the 70's, but I'm still only cautiously optimistic.

August Ragone said that there is no home video release plan right now. The show would need to do well on streaming for Shout! to release on DVD & Blu-Ray.

A later Showa Era show like Black, or even some Heisei Era shows like Kuuga or W might elicit a stronger and more favorable reaction. By appearances, SHOUT! is apparently hesitant to do a lot cause they're a little uncertain about the market and whether potential profits would justify the hypothetical cost (considering the current and touchy economic situation)! |

I need to get Jet Man , Go Go 5 and Growl Ranger to close out Shout's current Ranger sets but after that I might check out the Rider shows. Having seen US Dragon Knight I'm up for more.
Also Mill Creak is releasing the Ultra sets. |

Most everyone has known about Mill Creek for a long time now. In addition, Ultraman Leo has been on Shout Factory TV and Tubi for awhile. Gaia, Nexus, and Ginga (and Ginga S), X, Orb, and Geed should still be on CrunchyRoll. |

The fact they don't want to release blu-rays or even DVD makes it seem like they want this to fail. Especially relying on 71. Sure it's fun.. but it has a myriad of problems others don't.. Including repeating episodes.

I hope to start working on the Rider DVD sets after I get the rest of the Shout Ranger DVDs. Is Shout to be the first to release Rider shows?
