...So why does nobody talk about it? Like, out of all the series, Lost Galaxy is usually the last one anybody thinks to talk about.
I mean, you'd think, considering my personal nostalgia, I'd notice when people talk about my intro the franchise. |

No Lost Galaxy is pretty common, I have a few co-workers that remembers that season specifically. IF it's not Mighty Morphin it's Lost Galaxy.

Space was the series that was supposed to be the finale but the Contdown to Desctrucion created SUCH A HYPE for rangers that everyone was DYING to know what the future would be, so Lost Galaxy was almost religiously watched as a reaction towards Space. Really the show itself is ok when they were doing their thing, but in the second half when the budget was getting low and they had to use the Sentai fottage it ended up just as a bizzare jarring show that nobody really remembers. Personally I'm a S3 kid, that was what I saw first and season 3 and the ninjas are my nostalgia so I wouldn't mind getting some of that, but fact is, the comics are now milking the S1 nostalgia and it will be years until they decide to even try doing anything other than it. |

Pretty sure the majority of geeks out to grab said comics have either a wider interest and knowledge of PR, or at least watched until Zeo.
Considering the canon twisting and imaginative take this Boom series has taken, I doubt nostalgia-filter readers will be that interested in Lord Drakkon or the off formula structure of the story to begin with. We started watching MMPR from the beginning and she had questions about Tommy's change from Green to White, why his suit looks different and where the Thunderzords actually came from. She enjoyed season 3 because she remembered the "Ninjetti Powers" the most, but admittedly more from the first MMPR movie, and not the actual season. When we got to Zeo, her first question was "Why does Tommy's helmet look like something a seal would balance on the end of it's nose?" No one remembers Zeo. And speaking of Zeo. Anedoctal point 2, during the MMPR movie (2017), theater was packed. Zeo crystal comes up and I hear murmurs about me from nearly all sides about how that sounds familiar but they really can't recall why. Anedoctal, yes. No one remembers Zeo. |

I only have personal anecdotes to draw from, but when the movie came out, my wife was super excited. She loved it. Keeps asking me if I've heard rumblings for a sequel.

Where are you getting this information? Because I'm seeing Turbo and Samurai be ranked as "High Ratings" seasons, so that doesn't mean much. People soon came to hate those, and I doubt Saban didn't hear about it, nor Boom. People love In Space as this magnificent end to a specific era of Power Rangers. Taking forever to get to that would be foolish. RPM is considered the best Disney season, and even better than some Saban seasons, and it was on PR's last legs. Time Force, my personal preference aside, is known to be well loved, as is still a Saban season, so it doesn't have the "taint" of being one produced by Disney. Even Michael Bay's Transformers movies bother to add in later season/series characters, they don't make everything 100% about Optimus and Bumblebee. Just 80%. So limiting this return to loving Power Rangers bubble in time we're in to just MMPR is going to run the well dry with that attitude.

My pond has people who go on and on about Zeo. And Time Force. And hating on Turbo. It's remembered, even if not fondly. And I checked with none geeks, casual viewers. They know of Time Force and Zeo. Hell, Zeo moreso because it had Tommy. Never forget the effect Tommy has.

Sounds kind of interesting, but not something I'll get in individual issues. If they ever get a third ongoing in the works I hope it's based on the new movie.
This is the second ongoing series for Boom's PR comics. If you include the miniseries stuff into the count, than this would actually be the fourth. There's also the crossover with the Justice League.
