There were quite a few legitimate reasons to be frustrated with Battle for the Grid at launch, but since then it's only gotten better and better with every day. It's a genuinely fantastic and complex fighting game with a very diverse roster and a lot of options as time has gone on; with a team that while perhaps not quite used to communicating with a larger fanbase, is always willing to take on criticism and complaints and work tirelessly on fixing them and owning up to mistakes.
I'm a very casual player myself, but even I can appreciate all the work that's gone into it and always find a lot of fun in just coming back and playing my mains in arcade mode. This game is great

Don't get me wrong, I love the series in general, but Smash 64 is always a great time, especially with friends. |

I FUCKING LOVE FIGHTING GAMES
THEY ARE LITERALLY MY ALL TIME FAVORITE GENRE! Also, the possibly upcoming Capcom Vs has me hella hype! My top 10 are: 10. BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Fast paced and fun, with even the strangest of on the fly combos seeming like you know what you're doing. I never got too into the BlazBlue franchise, but I still loved this game 9. Tatsunoko Vs Capcom When this game came out, I was probably the only one in my circle of friends who knew any Tatsunoko characters. Still though, this game was an utter blast of insanity that just kept getting crazier. I honestly hope for an updated port of this game! It even had Roll-chan as a playable character! Fun fact! I actually had the Japanese version, that included that weird ass genie mofo...Thank god he was cut o-o 8. Street Fighter V From a purely technical standpoint, SF4 is far superior. However, SF4 had an almost unreasonable ceiling one needed to reach to even perform a basic combo. Thus, I felt it was far too slow and unforgiving. V, though, upped the speed, combo game, and just made things far more fun! Shame about the abysmal launch... 7. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax I really love ArcSys works. They put out some top notch fighting games. Unfortunately, my own bias keeps me at a distance, since I despise the anime aesthetic. Fortunately, I also really love Persona 4, so I managed to get into this one! It's so good and so polished, it's impossible to not have fun! 6. Super Smash Bros. Brawl SUBSPACE EMISSARY LET'S GOOOOOOO 5.. Street Fighter 3: Third Strike One hell of a fighting game, and probably one of the best in the genre. SF3 was everything I wanted in a SF game. The high level neutral game along side the bombastic combos of other fighters. God, I always get so nostalgic for this game! 4. Marvel Vs Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS THE HYPE Like, good lord, when MvC2 was announced for EVO this year, I could feel the hype flowing through my veins. While competitively, there's only about 7 viable characters, casually, this game is INSANE. Blackheart, Roll, Amingo! We just got ourselves a real match! 3. Super Smash Bros Ultimate Damn, this game is good. Honestly, the only thing that keeps me from playing it more is my inability to play it at any decent level (Or find friends to play it with). 2. Dragon Ball FighterZ FINALLY. A Dragon Ball fighting game that does it right! No more stopping mid match to charge ki. No more needing 3 bars to shoot a freaking Kamehameha! A traditional fighter with the crazy DB levels of action that plays competently, I'm so happy! I love you, Budokai 3, but bye! 1. Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Imagine, Marvel Vs Capcom, but without the need to give yourself carpal tunnel to combo (Well, unless you're playing Doom or Zero). And boom. We got ourselves my favorite fighting game~

Good to see some appreciation for TvC and Brawl. Those are some really underrated games I continuously have to defend when chatting with other FG fans.
