Hmm. Actually, Avengers was the last one, in Phase 1. Iron Man 3 is the start of Phase 2.

I persoanlly thought iron man 3 was/is the best Marvel film so far. I loved the twist, it's clever and I feel that a lot of people are possibly missing the point.
To me they had to make Trevor into such a joke to show how he couldn't have planned any of it and that it was Killian's doing. As Killian says, he's been the Mandarin all along, Trevor is just a magic trick, an illusion to throw Tony off. Heck if he had time and wasn't so concerned with preserving his image he would of probably donned the cloak and everything too (hence his dragon tattoos) To me he was the perfect mandarin minus the magic, he's every opposite to Tony. His tech controls him and can kill him, Tony's saves him and he controls it. He breaks Tony down to virtually nothing, whilst hiding in the shadows, Tony is of course very out in the open. Etc. etc. Just my two cents, think a lot of people are basing it on image alone. |

I think I still slightly favor Avengers to Iron Man 3, if only because the team dynamic was done so well, and I really liked having Steve and Loki in the film.
My top 3 favorite Marvel films are, in order: Avengers IM3 Captain America/Iron Man |

I haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet but I reckon my top Marvel Studio film would be Thor.

I'd still place the first Iron Man at the top of my Marvel Studios film, undoubtedly.

I saw the Walker Brothers' review of the film. One of their points bothered me.
Throughout the review they kept claiming that Tony was making a lot of stupid, emotionally-fueled decisions and having panic attacks because he feared that he would lose Pepper. However, they're taking Tony's words at surface value, and not paying much heed to the continuity of the films. The reason that Tony was behaving the way he was in Iron Man 3 was because of post-traumatic stress disorder. Psychology Today claims and justifies that Tony's near-death experience in The Avengers in which he accepted the fact that he would die, only to find that he did live. In the previous Iron Man movies, Tony was close to death, but he always strived to survive. As such, the trauma inflicted by this event rendered him with PTSD. Because of this, he was not able to perform as he normally would, being unable to express emotions he would normally be able to do with ease; suffering from insomnia and attacks; and making stupid decisions. Lesson learned: KRX does not approve of medical fallacies. |

My favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe movie is Avengers, but Thor comes in second. I loved Thor a lot, it really woke me up to the potential of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the film was a ton of fun. I am definitely anticipating Thor 2 the upcoming sequels.

It just has a huge heart and an even bigger imagination and although it may not be as huge or as explosive than Avengers, the general insanity of Thor, in my mind, makes it the most fun. I watch it pretty regularly now and have fun every time.
