Tomorrow Never Dies - A pretty good movie with some great action and banter between James and Lin. It isn't as good as Goldeneye, but still a pretty solid entry that is better than most of Moore's run. Carver was also a nice change of pace from the villains who want to rule the world with an iron fist. I give this one a 7/10. Too bad it all goes downhill from here with Brosnan.

Cinderella - I haven't watched this movie since 1993 and now I remember why. It is easily one of the weakest movies in Disney's library because it has barely any story and the characters are unlikable and shallow. "I want someone to come and take me out of this life instead of doing something for myself." Oh give me a freaking break!!! Not to mention the prince just happens to pick her out of all of those people in the crowd? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Also, the step mother is not even that interesting of a villain. She isn't evil, she is just selfish spoiled brat. The animation is pretty good and it does move at a brisk pace thankfully. Nevertheless, I give it a 6/10 stars.

The World is Not Enough - Man, how can a movie that has such a promising first half turn into a piece of **** in its second half? The movie has a great set up, but falls to pieces once Christmas is introduced and the whole thing becomes just a generic, predictable, boring, movie. Oh look, ANOTHER submarine finale. Oh, Elektra really was the villain the whole time, how surprising. How many times did it take her to say nuclear physicist? Does she even have any survival instincts or her own and does Bond have to tell her what to do the entire time? That is the absolute worst pun in the history of the franchise. Even those found in Moonraker are not as bad as that. Overall, I give this dose of hog wash **** a 4/10 because of its first hour.

Man of Steel. I can see why it's problematic, but it's still my favorite live-action Superman movie. I rewatched it today and it's actually a lot more enjoyable than I remembered.
One of the little things they did was have Lois always call Clark "Clark." It's a subtle touch I never noticed before, but it's one I liked. Superman, after all, is only what Clark Kent can do. Everything about him couldn't exist without Clark Kent and his upbringing. |

I just saw Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3. It was pretty good, but I always get confused*when watching a movie with time paradoxes and changing the past and future.

Thor 2: Better than I was expecting. Not my favorite part of the MCU, but I'm still glad I saw it. 7.2/10
Big Hero 6: Loved every minute of it, now my third favorite Marvel movie. 8/10

Goosebumps - If you grew up in the 90s you most likely know at least the basics of Goosebumps. It's basically a bunch of horror stories written for all ages to enjoy. The movie itself is like a love letter to the books. It's plot is pretty much like Jumanji, but with the Goosebumps monsters and it. As a whole, the movie is quite fun and Jack Black did a fantastic job as RL Stine. The movie does a nice job of building up to the events of the main story and it feels like an actual Goosebumps book. There is so much fanservice to those who have read the books and stuff in there to keep all ages in enjoyment. Overall, I give it a 7/10. Oh, we saw it in 3D because it was cheaper and there is no reason to see it in 3D as there is nothing mind blowing about it.
Casino Royale - This was my first Bond film and it is still one of the best films of the entire franchise. The parkour chase scene towards the beginning is just down right amazing and I love that they kept the torture scene from the book towards the end of the movie. It does a fantastic job at rebooting the universe without making it feel forced and what not. Easily a 9/10. Quantum of Solace - Well Craig's career went downhill fast. Okay, not really, but compared to CR, this movie blows. It just has way too much action, shaky cam, and crap to really feel like a Bond movie. Yet, if it wasn't a Bond movie, it would just be another generic forgettable action movie. The opera house scene is easily the best scene of the entire movie and ultimately saves the movie from being a total waste of time. The plot is blah and the villains are extremely lackluster, but Bond kicks ass. It gets a 6/10, but it is far better than nearly anything Moore and Brosnan did. Bram Stoker's Dracula - The 4K remaster of ths new Ugly Cover edition is absolutely stunning. There are some truly fine details I never noticed were around before and the new audio track is so much superior than the old one. My god, if Sony had actually used the original poster art for this movie it would be a perfect release. Nevertheless, I've talked about how much I love this movie many times so I'll just leave here with the yearly 9/10 stars. Last edited by Dr Kain; 10-18-2015 at 06:24 PM.. |

I'm watching "Rising Dead". It's not half bad. It could use a little more work than what went into it. The lead male is a douche that overcomplicates things, like his escape. But all in all I give it 7/10.

Watched "Beasts with No Nation". Remembered why I hate humans, and yet love Idris Elba.
