've brought?
I would be willing to pay up to 300GBP for a toy. What most expensive thing I've currently brought is the Green and bronze Killer-Oh (75GBP) |

It depends on what the toy in question is. Obviously I'd be willing to spend more on something bigger, more complex, detailed, or what have you.
Speaking Toku toys specifically, the most expensive thing I've bought is S.H.Figuarts Genocider, which ran me 12000 yen, which was about 96 USD at the time. Though shipping then added more than 30 bucks more...I'd probably be reluctant of paying (any more than) that for...well, likely pretty much anything else. |

Well, my answer will never be as simple as x amount of money. What I'm willing to spend on a toy depends on a multitude of factors...
• What does the toy mean to me? Will it become a valuable addition that coheres to my collection or will it stand alone? In the case of the latter, will it stand strong? • How long have I desired the toy? Is it a newly developed fondness or have years gone by? In the case of the latter, has completing a purchase been delayed due to being indecisive, lack of funds, or lack of availability? • What is my current budget? How much am I willing to allocate towards a single purchase ('cause I'm almost always debating between purchasing a variety of toys at any given time)? • What does the toy mean to others (i.e. how is it valued on the secondary market)? Do I predict a rise or decline in value given the data I am able to compile? Should I need to part with it, will I get back what I put in? Will I be upset otherwise? • How new is the toy? Was it released in the past few years or the 1970s? What was the retail price (if necessary, adjusted for inflation)? • How rare is the toy? Was it a limited or standard release? Does one turn up every other week, or once every few years? In the end I refuse to invest too much beyond the retail value of contemporary releases as prices have a tendency to fall just as quickly as they inflate due to hype. I won't share numbers, but I will say the most money I've spent on a single toy has been something with serious history behind it. |

Most I've ever spent on a toy?
It's about a tie. $250+shipping for Encore Fortress Maximus. $275 for G1 Overlord. But both were "Holy Grails", so to speak. For new toys, $200 is the max that doesn't make me pause and wonder what the hell I'm doing spending that much on a toy. $50 is my impulse buy top out, where I can spend it without thinking I'm gonna be eating PB&J every lunch break for the coming two weeks. |

$160 shipped for an Orga Driver.
Probably not the best idea I've made, but eh. I like it. Not too crazy about how it was shipped, though (I literally got it, in box, just wrapped in bubble wrap, and a shipping label taped on that. AND THEY ACCEPTED IT) But, yeah. 160 is currently the highest.

130 dollars for a 1/48 Yamato Valkyrie. And that was WITH shipping. Now you can't even get an Arcadia Valkyrie for less than 200.

$140 for the Korean releases of Gosei Great, Gosei Ground and the 3 Headder Brothers sets.
Thank you again Baltmatrix for your advice on how good that deal was. |

My top limit would depend on the item. The most expensive item I think I've purchased in Toku collecting would either be the Blackbirdfly Decade camera or the Gokai Yellow helmet, which were both a little over $200 before shipping. The most I've ever spent to ship a single item was the $150 EMS fee for the Fourze Astro Switch Rack (which only cost me a darned cheap $55 for an unopened one).

Most expensive thing I've bought was a SHF Shin Zangetsu (10,000Y).
Most VALUABLE toy I have is either my DX Blay Buckle or DX Darkvisor.
