So, I recently finally bought a Zero-One Driver, after previously only owning a Build Driver that I bought partially for cosplay. This time though it was just because I wanted the Driver, and now that I've got two, I want more. With older belts though, like the Arcle or the W Driver, the DX version goes goes for just as much if not more than the CSM version. I'm curious to hear from people who own CSM belts if they're worth the cost of $200-300. I'd love a representation of Kuuga or Ryuki or W's belts, but I'm a little uneasy about the idea of spending so much on something like that. The V-Buckle at least comes with all the decks, which seems pretty cool, but the W driver and the Arcle seem a bit simple for the cost

Well I don’t own one personally (yet), but I do own an Ultra Replica item, which is very similar and it’s pretty good. For CSM though, I’d try looking up reviews on YouTube.

It's definitely one of those things where I'd say "only if you're super, super attached to it". Like for the pricetag and what you're getting I think you REALLY have to justify it unless you've got a swimming pool made of money.
Personally, I definitely want the CSM OOO driver one day, but that's because of just how important OOO is to me and I'd consider it like, a huge big deal long-term goal of a grail. Oh, and beyond that, you've also gotta consider if it's worth it next to the DX version. The CSMs are vast improvements from sculpt to sound quality to additional features, of course; but you should really ask yourself if it's worth it when you could be paying a fraction of the price for a DX toy that does more or less everything you'd want the belt for.

While I'm not fortunate enough to own one yet, I have been watching a LOT of videos on them the past few weeks and to me, it depends on the belt IMO.
The Arcle looks absolutely worth the $200-$250 it goes for, especially compared to the DX. The W Driver though...? It's just the DX with nicer straps, and sound quality. The item itself is no different, and lacks the "special" stuff modern CSM stuff does. So I'd say no. Ryuki is one I've been looking at the most, and like Kuuga, I'd say it's very much worth it, especially the set with the Dragvisor. Last edited by Deathryuger321; 06-07-2020 at 12:35 PM.. |

I do have the OOO CSM, and I would say it is very much worth the price. That being said, I only plan on purchasing CSM belts for riders that I enjoy the absolute most, such as OOO, Wizard and Build (whenever the latter 2 are released), as is my personal preference. Compared to the DX though, as an adult fan, I would go for CSM 9 times out of 10. I also payed an extra $200 or so for the complete version with all the medals, but would gladly have thrown the base $200-$300 down for just the base belt, it's that nice.

The Faiz CSM is great. All the stuff it comes with and the accuracy of the mold. Just wow. The screen on the phone is a missed opportunity, but I understand the limitation.
That being said, I agree it does matter how it stacks up to the DX version. The difference between the DX and CSM W driver are pretty minor. The Decadriver's built it sound effect is super cool though. Also one of the big draws of the CSM are the belt parts. They look and feel so high quality. I'd be surprised if we saw a lot of later Heisei phase 2 drivers because they would have to match and work with all the gimmicks and add-ons. Like the Build driver? Would it come with just 6 best matches? Would the DX bottles work? What about the Hazard Trigger and Genius bottles? Another thing to note is how well CSM products hold their value. Just about every CSM release can be sold at or more than the retail cost just a few years later. |

... oh my god, Zi-O would be a nightmare. Even on the non-electronic side, stuff like Fourze and Build is so high on quantity and so bulky with each item that it's hard to see many being included in the base set. I think looking away from later series like Ghost or Drive for now, Fourze and Wizard seem like the only feasible 'later' drivers for the near future; so for now I'm much more curious how those would be handled. Wizard seems a much more simple affair with the Wizard Rings being small enough and not even the upgrade ones being electronic, and even though there is a lot of them; you could easily get away with just including the original four Transformation rings, Driver On and Kick Strike before putting everything else in a special set like OOO. But Fourze? Beyond the obvious base four switches, which ones do you choose?

Oh man, CSM Zero-One is going to be the true nightmare here. That being said, I'm pretty sure that second-hand belts get cheaper on the secondary aftermarket for some time before they start to reverse course and inflation hits. If you want to get second hand DX stuff do it now while you still can. |
