I swear, the more news we get like this the more obvious it becomes that fans who want more than MMPR are the minority of the consumers for these things.
Which yes, it makes sense cause MMPR is still potent nostalgia bait. But we'll now have 4 versions of the same MMPR Pink figure...4... I think that's gonna be excessive if they're gonna do ANOTHER MMPR team in another color scheme.

Think of things this way though, if "Comics Versions" can now count as separate figures, then that means we could also see variants/deluxe versions of other teams too, considering the likes of Shattered Grid and whatnot.
Plus, in terms of the business side of things, yeah, MMPR sells best and it's an easy way to make sure the original team is always in circulation. Similar to how every TMNT toyline always finds ways to keep the Turtles themselves pumped out.

The problem, as always, is that there's no balance. Like this is a collector-aimed line. It's not one coinciding with any media since there's no Dino Fury representation. Like ML, like Black Series, like Classified, you're going to have people who want broader representation even within MMPR itself. If we're now going into what seems to be the third or fourth representation of certain suits before things like finishing Rita's group, a single-packed Rita, other monsters or even throwing a bone to teams you haven't even touched after one release (Like seriously, an all-pink stream but no Time Force Pink? Who's literally the other most popular pink ranger in the franchise?) then it feels like the line is already stagnating when the non-MMPR releases just leak like nothing while events like these focus on either nothing but MMPR or releases no one was really clamoring for.
And, again, I get I'm most likely coming off as a whiny minority in this collecting space but I can't help but vent my frustrations when I like a line but literally want nothing they've been revealing. Like I wanna give you my money cause the product is great but you gotta ease up on shoving one chunk of an almost 30 year franchise down our throats just a little bit. That's all I'm asking. ...That and stop making people double dip on stuff they already own, if we get a two-pack with MMPR Red and Zeo Blue and they actually pack in Rocky's tonfas I'm going to be super-annoyed.

I feel like the presentation is the issue here for me. Cause honestly, while the reveals are fairly nice. Like... you really didn't need 24 minutes to go over a Gamestop exclusive packaging of all Pink Merch and a tease for Cog's at the end. That trivia and those clips just felt like padding.
At this point I'm probably just going to stick to twitter because I just had the vid muted most of the time. That being said, I feel like all the MMPR reveals as of late are getting a bit overwhelming. I know a few very casual PR Fans in a discord server I'm in, the past three months I've been relaying Lightning Collection stuff. And even they're fed up with all the MMPR related announcements. |

Yeah, I understand that MMPR is the most popular season for casual collectors....but we really didn't need a 3rd and 4th re-release of MMPR Pink....
I am glad they're finishing off Zeo so quickly though, since I believe Tanya is still supposed to come in the next wave. But the double-dipping is frustrating, especially when the Power Rangers brand is already a free license to repaint the same body molds 50 times over.

So I never wanna be negative when it comes to PR, since that's way too common of a thing online, but if this is the only PR news we're gonna be getting then I'm honestly bored & frustrated.
Two figures, one of which should've been a retail release while the other is only being made because the first running of it is stupid expensive on the aftermarket now, which would've been fine if it wasn't holding the new figure hostage. Just release MMPR Pink in a future wave with 3 new figures. That'll keep costs down so you don't have to make a whole new mold. But no, Zeo Pink now requires you to spend money on something you most likely already own. Another MMPR helmet, shocker. But it is good to see female helmets being made. It keeps PR from feeling like a Boys-Only Club, ya know? And finally another Morpher.......only to be a recolored one with the exact same coins as last time. Why? The Morpher could've been Tommy's with the Dragon & Tiger coins. They wanna ride the MMPR train into the ground so much yet refuse to give us that? What about Saba? That's also MMPR & would sell very well. We get it; MMPR sells. So do other shows & characters. There are fan favorite series like RPM, SPD & Time Force. Have the lines rely on those designs too by sprinkling them with shows folks don't like as much like Lightspeed Rescue & Operation Overdrive. Very simple. Also HOW do you have a Pink Ranger celebration without showing one of, if not arguably THE most popular Pink Ranger in HISTORY in Time Force Pink?! She's the first & only Pink Ranger that was a freaking LEADER!!! I'm sorry, but man. I hope there's more exciting news over the weekend. |

And while I have no evidence of it, I imagine Time Red must not have sold all that great, considering he's still the only one we've got. Again, Space Yellow got them to start making other members of the team pretty much immediately, and it makes me think Kurona and a couple other users on here were onto something in their theory that the Beast Morphers figures might not've been doing so hot. Again, I'm not trying to belittle anyone here, and I definitely do understand the frustrations. Just, I dunno, I guess it doesn't bother me all that much, given everything else I've already said.

Not nearly to the same degree, unfortunately. That said, SPD has been getting plenty of attention over the line's' run, so I imagine it must be doing well.

I just want more variety with smarter marketing strategy. Like if ya wanna make the Metallic Armor figures then just put them in general retail instead of making them exclusives, that way retailers will have more confidence in kicking up the LC waves since they'll have some form of MMPR in them. |

I'll be real though... all their talk about "How it's like the comics" with the new singular Pink release really just made me long for a Figure release of this Pink Ranger:
