I don't think that is an Ultra 500 Series he is standing next to. Pretty sure all of the Ultra 500s (Heroes and Kaiju) have a round tag, like you can see on Ragon. Not sure who the Ultraman is, but his tag is rectangular like a normal Ultra Hero toy; I think you may be comparing apples to oranges in this picture.
EDIT: I took a picture. Bemular is an average sized Ultra Kaiju; Ginga is average sized for an Ultra 500/Spark Doll. Notice also the tags: rectangular for the full size (yeah, I know it's not Bemular's tag, not sure where it got to), rounded for the 500. Also, check the feet -- the 500s will have a little scanner code for use with the Ginga Spark, the regular ones do not. Unless I am missing the point (been known to happen) and you think Ragon is too small for the 500s. I have not seen him in person so I am not sure. 500 Alien Godola, also humanoid, scales nicely with my two 500 Ultras (Ultraman and Ultraman Ginga). So while they are smaller than the "normal" line, they look good displayed with their own kind. And honestly, after lining them all up this weekend, I think the smaller ones look nice in front of their larger brethren. (I am also not too proud to admit that after taking the picture I did have them wrestle with each other.)

Ahh, you have a bunch more Ultra Monsters than I do. Most of my vinyls are Godzilla stuff, I only started getting Ultra Monsters recently. I like both sizes; space is limited in my part of the house so the smaller ones mean more monsters, woo!
On another topic: who preordered the 12" X-Plus/Plex Sanda and Gaira, coming out in November? I did! http://www.previewsworld.com/Home/1/...emID=AUG132285 We also have the Plex GMK Goji coming out in November... http://www.previewsworld.com/Home/1/...emID=STK620913

Got a box from HLJ last night and there is a new pile of vinyl in my den!
Bandai Spark Dolls (Ultra Heroes and Monsters): Salamandora Vakishim Antlar Black King Alien Baltan Zoffy Golza Alien Magma Bandai Rider Series: Kamen Rider Wizard Land Style Kamen Rider Wizard Land Dragon Master Phoenix Salamandora is amazing; he's extremely well detailed and nicely articulated. Vakisihm is very bright, but he looks great. The aliens are nicely proportioned -- Baltan looks like his regular vinyl shrunk in the dryer, and Magma has his normal crazed look. Antlar similar looks like a mini version of his regular toy. Golza suffers from a lack of detail around his mouth but otherwise looks really good. Black King looks exactly like he did on the show, and has a great grimmacing sneer on his face, heh. Zoffy is very much in line with Ultraman and Ginga. They look imposing posed together, with their clenched fists, heh. I have Taro on backorder right now, hopefully he'll show up at some point (along with King Pandon). I'm contemplating using Zoffy as a prize in a contest on my podcast. The Rider toys are nicely sized for display; I have Flame Style waiting for me in my Private Warehouse at HLJ. It's odd to have a KR toy this tall, as the only ones I have ever had were my Bandai Masked Rider Cyclopter and SHFA Kamen Rider 1; still, I like the detail work on them and for the price they display wonderfully. I'll try to take some pictures tonight! EDIT: Liger, I just noticed you have a Jamila in the back there. Lucky dog! I'd love to get a vinyl of Jamila! Some photos!

The first US Plex / X-Plus toys have shipped. My brother got his set, including Goji '02, Sanda, and Gaira, in the mail already. My Gargantuas are sitting in the warehouse at DCBS until my next shipment is prepared at the end of the month.
My brother says the detail is fantastic on them; when I get Sanda and Gaira in hand I will post up some pictures for everyone. I passed on Varan; did anyone order him? Also, I got my last round of Spark Dolls from HLJ: Ultraseven Ultraman Taro King Pandon Dragoris King Joe Ragon Zetton At this point, I have everyone I want of who has been released. So unless we get some new monsters down the line, my Spark Doll collection is probably done.

I get a sofubi every now and again.
I got a Decade Complete one from a toy seller with another purchase I made off eBay, can't recall what the toy was, but I still have Decade! I also have Wizard Infinity and Hyper Beast, because AmiAmi will have them on back-order, and they're cheap (600Y or so) and don't add anything appreciable to shipping. Got Zangetsu Shin that way, today, too! |

With Bandai starting up the Ultraman X line, more Spark Dolls are becoming available. It looks like it will be a mix of monsters and our hero, X, with different monster-based armors. I have X, Zarab, and Demaga ordered (Demaga is in the private warehouse, X is showing as a December restock -- not sure if that means he won't be available until December or if they will honor the orders and then restock him in December -- and Zarab is set for July release). So far I am passing on the armored forms of X as well as Fanton-seijin, who looks very silly.
They have a preorder up for the monster Rudian, but I am guessing this is a new monster as I can't find any images of him online. I also put in an order for the Ultra Hero of Great. I picked up the DVD set at HeroesCon and want to get the vinyl to stand among the Ultra-Acts of the Ultra Heroes. He's backordered, unfortunately, but hopefully he will come in by the time I have to ship the Spark Dolls.
