Nobody told me Taiga would be so dark in literally the first five episodes.
2) Hiroyuki's childhood pet/friend Chibisuke gets aliennapped while he's a child and then he has to witness Tregear kill it while taking a shot meant for Taiga. 3) Japanese Elon Musk sends out a Happy Birthday Rocket on a whim that crashes into a satellite, kills a husband and wife, and gets away with it. We even see the frozen corpse of the husband. 4) The show basically turns into an alien crime drama that dives into how hard it is living as an alien immigrant and ends with a shootout that leaves multiple dead bodies. 5) Pirika befriends a young woman who is secretly the herald of an alien invasion and who sacrifices herself to help Titas stop the monster, leaving Pirika devastated and left with nothing but the selfie they took with each other. And then Titas just Shuwatches away. |

Yeah, a lot of Taiga plots end up having a pretty melancholic feel to them. I don't know if it was some conscious decision coming after the lighthearted R/B, but at any rate, that sense of mood was something about Taiga I really ended up enjoying. (Even the voice dramas are at their best when they get sad!)

The cast of The Destined Crossroad’s English version has been announced.
https://en.tsuburaya-prod.co.jp/news/4442 The TL;DR is that the US trio is voiced by Georgie from Ultraman Gaia, Sean from Ultraman Max and the black dude from Movie Wars Megamax. Also, the guy who voiced Ribut in the first one is now voicing Leo. Last edited by Androzani84; 05-11-2022 at 09:56 AM.. |

The voice drama episodes were released following each new episode of the TV show, so essentially, whatever number you're at for the show is the number it's "safe" to be at for the dramas. (The voice dramas also stopped after 24, so there isn't one tied to the show's finale.) Mind you, not all of the dramas directly reference the episode of the show they follow -- some of them are doing their own thing, but some of them are very much meant to be watched as little bonus addendums to what just happened in the main series.
