Being the viewing audience, wouldn't that mean it's in our right to challenge their decision? :I

This is us dealing with it. While the final decision is Saban's decision, that does not mean we should let Saban get away with it.

I posted this on RangerCrew.com and I will leave it here for you guys as well.

I think the reason people are upset is Saban Brands, especially at the last Power Morphicon, seemed to be really stretching out the hand to the older fans, hyping up Megaforce as the "most expensive" season and that it'd be full of surprises that would appeal to new viewers and older viewers alike.
But all we seem to be getting in terms of information is that the show is taking steps BACKWARDS in terms of quality and writing, by bringing back a staff that did not resonate with the older audience (writers) and seemingly taking out attempts at originality for more copy/paste Sentai stories. The show may be intended for children, but when you market a season towards the older audience and more or less end it with a "HAHA FOOLED YOU", it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We may be a small demographic, but we're still part of the overall demographic, as Power Rangers has become pop-culture (like Transformers, Ninja Turtles, GI Joe, Masters of the Universe, Thundercats, etc.) and to do next to nothing for that demographic in a 20th Anniversary is akin to saying "Thanks for sticking around but we don't need you anymore". With that feeling coming across as it has lately, I don't blame anyone for being upset/irritated/frustrated/annoyed. Too early to /ragequit, but it's definitely lowering many peoples' expectations for what they were hoping would be one hell of an anniversary season.

Also, you invite back Samuell Benta, probably the most controversial Power Rangers actor, but give Rhett Fisher, a guy who wants to come back, the shaft for budget reasons, even though Steve Cardenas (and possibly Erin Cahill) reject your offer(s) based on money? How can you not find something incorrect about that? Last edited by KRX; 05-06-2013 at 12:13 AM.. |

One thing I don't get is this.
This is a celebration of twenty years of Rangers right, so yall saying that only the kids matter, that the adult demographic doesn't mean worth a damn. Usually I'd agree but the kids are the only people who DON'T care about the shows legacy or know of all the teams and characters. If Saban really doesn't care about the older audience and only wants to appeal to a new generation to sell toys, then why are they doing a Power Rangers 20 celebration thing any way then? Surely this is entirely marketed at old fans?

Fury Diamond specifically states there were more "invited! Oh wait no nevermind"s out there, but Rhett was the only one to go public with it.

There's a reason why they don't make toys of the civilian Rangers. Also, unrelated, but your signature makes me want to vomit. Not because of the image, but because of how fast it goes and the way it repeats over and over again. I love me some Ash and some Brisco County Jr. but damn, that signature... |

But we don't know the extent of this thing. Some theorize that based on actor comments, it's a one shot and may just be something that happens in one total episode. This raises the question of the possibility that there won't be specific "episodes" that are dedicated to some or all the series. Out of 20 episodes total, I'm inclined to agree with this. What if there isn't dedicated episodes for the series, or at least with an actor or two and if we do get those dedicated series episodes it's all in-suit.

Have the battle between Octoroo and the Super Megaforce Rangers, who once they're done fighting, demorph and reveal it's our team of Megaforce Rangers. They mention that "they really are in the past", and throw out the "We need to get back to Zador, let's go". Fanboying it, but hey, get to use the footage and fit in to the story later on.
