Looks like there is going to be some SHFs from the new Netflix Ultraman Show. |

Ghost SHF's didn't sell well not because the series was bad, but because the figures' articulations were very severely limited in the torso area (and also shoulder, arm, and hip, to the lesser extent) due to the use of hard plastic to mimic the clothes. It basically disabled the articulations in those areas. Had the cloth part was made of fabric, or at least flexible PVC plastic (like on SHF Buffa), then the articulations would've been way better and worked as intended. Accuracy- and proportion-wise, they were even better than Ex-Aid SHF's (hello Ex-Aid, Genm, Cronus, and Para-DX). Their accuracy and proportion were at least equal to Build or Zi-O SHF's.
Toy sales do not always correlate with the quality of the story. There are other series with equally bad or even worse stories as Ghost's, yet their SHF's and other toys sold well. Revice and (God forbid) Geats were waaay worse than Ghost, story-wise, but their SHF's have been selling well. I completely DISAGREE- Geat and Revice were miles ahead of Ghost being ?good? or better story wise- that?s your opinion, this is mines, and most of fandom agrees that Ghost was the worst series in Heisei era. Geats was FUN, Ghost was a CHORE to get through. In this case, not just the terrible articulation of the figures came into play, but the Japanese audience wasn?t into it either. Ghost was way more of a disappointment than Geats by far |

That could be cool, because I remember Tamashii making figures for some Chinese stylized CG-animated movie, and they looked awesome. Ever since I'm waiting for them to cover something similar and this new Ultraman could be it.
I bet his style and proportions will look super fun as a Figuart. I will be getting it 100% guaranteed. Hopefully they make a kaiju from the movie too. |

Ghost was way more of a disappointment than Geats by far If Ghost was a chore, then Revice was a forced labor and Geats was a torture. If chaos, irrationality, pretentiousness, carelessness, recklessness, laziness, and cynicism are your ideas of fun, then yes, Geats WAS fun. Geats is virtually what's happening inside the mind of a very neurotic person. Well, time will ultimately reveal the truth. I hope I'm totally wrong on this and reality will prove that Yuuya Takahashi will be remembered as the greatest toku/anime writer in history. Otherwise... Back to topic. If the quality of the story writing was proportionately reflected in merch/toy sales, then why did poor sales only befall Ghost SHF's but not the DX and other merch/toy lines? |

I’m predicting that Gotchard and Valvarad will be regular releases and Valvarad will come with Gotchard’s weapon.

I almost wonder if we'll finally be down to just one retail release this season. Haven't had a retail secondary since Rintaro back in 2021. Revice at least gave us Vice at retail, but for Geats all we got were two versions of Geats, albeit one of which could be modified to be other characters fairly easily. I would love a retail Valvarad figure, or whatever Rinne's Rider suit ends up, but I've been worried for a while that Gotchard SteamHopper might be it

I'm still waiting for that SHF Kamen Rider Durandal we saw a while back to release. Falchion would be nice, but I'll be happy just to have the SOL Riders completed.
C'mon Bandai, there's literally only one Rider left!
