Rise was always marketed as a limited series. Most likely to test the waters to see if Ultraman comic can sell well. And it seems that is the case now that we're getting a sequel.
To be frank, limited series these days are better than ongoing. I hope it can continue to sell well, and Ultraman can be fully partnered with Marvel.
