Well I actually mean it. I’m in too bad a mood because of this and I’m officially finished with hockey for the foreseeable future

Is anyone else feel like they are starting to "grow out of" the interest in superheroes, particularly Marvel, DC, and Power Rangers? I feel like I can still gravitate to stuff like Digimon and older Super Sentai. But I don't like the direction the other franchises mentioned are heading. I'm also starting to get more into classical works. I'm not sure if that's due to age or just tired of the "copy and paste" pop content being pushed out in modern day.

Honestly Ultraman is the one I look forward the most, although I do worry if I got bored with it in the future, or that future series couldn't live up to the high standards that most New Generation series sets up. This happens with R/B, it's a solid show, but it wasn't well liked primarily for not living up to X, Orb and Geed which are fantastic shows.

I've phased out of Power Rangers a few months ago after spending some time hating the direction of the show and wondering if I can still like them, Boom comics are the only ones I actively look forward too (even then I binge read it instead of following it every month). It's why I'm taking a break with Kamen Rider Saber because I don't want to get burned out of the series. As for Sentai, the past years have been problematic but I genuinely enjoyed Ryusoulger, and Kiramager is fantastic.

It's fun but it's mind numbing. Both Marvel and DC are void of any culture or deep meaning. And they fail at the opposite of Power Rangers, where big brand, too big of a budget. In order to have a greater return they take the less amount of risk, or if they do take a risk they pump it full of pop music and flashy colors. Even Disney is so creatively bankrupt they can't help themselves but to remake their animated classics in live action, and not even try to go over the top with the adaptions so we're left with a bland husk void of any charm the originals had. I cannot even stand modern day music anymore. At least not what's popular. Sometimes I long to be an innovative creator in the 18th or 19th Century. A world filled with opportunity and discovery, instead of rehashed concepts and rampant consumerism. |

Power Rangers is still fun. I feel like saying it's been "immature since Wild Force" is a super gross oversimplification. Not that it should matter, since the show is aimed at 10 year olds, and on average is no more immature than the average Sentai season. Marvel films got boring for me, but I still like most of the cartoons. DC movies in general are very hit and miss for me, but I still tend to like what few cartoons by them I tune into.

I still like Power Rangers though I can't judge the Hasbro Era till we get into Dino Fury as we are still on their first attempt at Power Rangers. As for Marvel movies I kinda dropped them only because I tried to watch them in order which ended up with a lot of movies that I would have to watch and yet I don't have as much free time now. As for DC I mainly just watch the animated films.
