I'm happy with the renewal version that came out in 2013. I honestly can't always upgrade the same figure over and over again.

Wow, it seems like they're getting closer to a seamless design with those shoulder joints. The shoulder joints also look a little...too organic.

The fabric folds highlights something I've noticed about these SS figures: they're aiming to recreate the suits, not the characters. Iirc, Black was supposed to be a biological transformation, so he technically shouldn't have fabric folds because the "suit" is actually his skin.

Why differentiate between the two? Aren't the suits always the characters with Toku? Unless you take in other sources like manga or a special artistic interpretation.

The organic part is true but - skins have folds too and while different, I would assume a flexible exoskeleton has them as well. And they might look conveniently a lot like bent rubber
