We have individual threads for Marvel and DC, but I didn't see something like this.
There are instances of people discussing the possibility of another joint publication crossover work. Some really don't see a point in doing something like that, but it also has relatively receptive supporters. https://comicbook.com/comics/news/ma...cott-snyder/#2 If something does happen in the near future, it might be good to reflect on the previous instances something similar occurred. Should Marvel and DC do a crossover or not? Were the previous crossovers good or bad? All Marvel/DC crossovers are on the table, including the Amalgam Comics line! And why limit ourselves to just these two publishers? Did Marvel do a crossover with another character or team with another publisher that you liked or disliked? Did DC? Share here. P.S.: Included photos of the single issues I have obtained up to this point for reference. |

Neat idea for a thread! I've been selling comics (or working at stores) long enough to remember when the Marvel Vs DC and Amalgam stuff hit. (For the record: Uh-MAL-Gum, not AMUL-Gam. 80% of the people who came looking for these books got the name wrong.) They're pretty fun!
That said, I'm not sure we'll ever see more of them. Marvel and DC are now arms of massive corporations, and those corporations have no interest in doing anything to support others. Like, they can't even agree to keep collections of that material in print, let alone coordinate to make more. It would sell insanely well (the JLA vs Avengers comics came out before there were even Avengers movies or Justice League movies!), but the financial gain from a hit comic book is, like, an accounting error to these corporations. They don't care. Unless the gain is in the billions, it's not going to get approved. But at least we've got the older comics kicking around! I'm a big fan of Spider-Boy Team-Up, from the second wave of Amalgam books. It's a mash-up of the 2099 comics from Marvel and the Legion from DC, with some killer art by Jose Ladronn.

I'm hoping Geoff Johns do that Secret Crisis that was name dropped in Doomsday Clock.
Honestly I think DC is open for crossovers, it's Marvel that's tricky due to being owned by Disney. I mean Power Rangers had a crossover with Justice League! Which I really hope one day they'll make an animated movie of it.

Disney probably doesn't feel like a DC crossover would do much for their brand, what with them being the more dominant company when it comes to superheroes.

The only crossover comics I currently own are:
And I highly enjoyed every one of them! I think the only real "complaint" I can give is that I wish Robotech/Voltron were like, one issue longer, since there's a few plot details they just kinda drop that I wish were expanded on a little more. But yeah, so far I'm ridin' good on crossovers! That said, are there any Spider-Man crossovers you guys would recommend? Surprisingly I've read all of none of them despite Spidey being my favorite superhero. Been looking into reading the Superman crossover at the very least, if only for historic value.

There's one combo that I'm sad and surprised that never got used. Green Lantern/Daredevil. I think it's name would have been Green Devil.

Not a Marvel/DC crossover, but still worth noting about in terms of crossovers: Spawn and Batman.

I'm surprise a Power Rangers and Voltron comic didn't happen yet.

Until then, we'll have to accept what is. I also have another crossover which is mildly applicable: Robotech and Voltron! |

Much as I would love for that to happen, WEP see PR as a rival series, so it's doubtful it'll ever come to light.
