Been looking forward to this ever since the announcement of cloth robes. Wizard was always an underrated show imo so it's nice to see it get something this good

The coat tails look nice. I really hate when plastic is used for stuff like that since it usually ends up limiting poseability by both restricting joints and by limiting what you can do with those parts. Like I love Figuarts Knight's cape, but at the end of the day it really only has about four poses it can do. Soft goods can be such a gamble, though (*coughStarWarsBlackSeriescough*). It's nice to see that this guy nailed it.

Beast is so TINY! It actually makes me want to get this figure and an original SHF Beast over a possible Seihou to headcanon him as a tiny man

This guy looks great. I haven't picked up any of the Seihou stuff yet but this release is really making me take another look once the holidays are done. I doubt they will but I'd love to see his infinity form get a similar treatment.

Hated Wizard. Still think it's the worst neo-heisei series of the set. That said, I like Haruto as a character and Wizard as a rider and good lord if this figure isn't finally honoring his design the way it should be honored. Was floored the moment I took him out of his box with how utterly beautiful this figure is as a whole.
The rings are obviously scary, but I understand why they went this route. Otherwise he'd have dozens of hands in every pose for every ring he'd wear, which would have jacked up the price considerably. And the module use of the ring heads makes depicting other abilities like using Water, Land and Hurricane even more believable. Plus the actual functioning belt is such a cherry on top of it all. Love this new Wizard. Give us a new OOO and we'll have a solid set of Heisei riders finally. |

OOO is in dire need of a good figure, but just him isn't really enough to make the line up of 20 riders solid. Shinkocchou Seihou has shown just how poorly constructed a number of older figuarts are. At this point we need updated figures for Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Den-O, OOO, Fourze to get a set of truly in scale main riders. These were each well enough figures for their time, but they don't scale with modern figuarts or Seihou's now. There's a big quality contrast.

Oh no, I did. Still stand by that it's a perfectly fine series that gets way too much flak. But that's a discussion for other places.
As for renewals of previous Heisei riders, I do definitely agree. I guess I mean more OOO is the one in dire need of a renewal cause even compared to other older releases he doesn't hold a candle. I can live with waiting on new versions of Ryuuki, Faiz, Den-O and Blade since their initial releases are still fairly good (If now short compared to their SS companions), but OOO is the sooner the better. |

This was definitely one that needed a Shinkocchou Seihou version. And man, does this one look great. I love Wizards design. Also the fully poseable cape pieces are a nice touch

This might be one of the best SS figures yet. The transclearant sections look really good. The details in the rings are very nice too.

I am both in love with and hate this figure. I'm always a bit frustrated when they release a remake of an old figure I have. I kinda wish there was a trade-in or some kind of unreasonable policy to make sure I can get the new awesome thing haha.
I really do dig how much this is an improvement over the old figure. Head looks better proportioned, the shoulders look more pronounced, and the rings are way better looking. Wish I could get this. |
