After watching the Japanese review of minipla TokkyuOh I am amazed at how these things have more engineering than the DX toys
Bandai could borrow much of these designs and make SOC versions of sentai mecha. Fully transforming, articulated, with metal content ... Who wouldn't buy those |

From my opinion. I think main target for DX is children. It have gimmicks pre-painted and it size is too big for movement joint. If it have that much joints it joints will be as strong as soul of chogokin toy, that will make it's price too expensive for parents to buy it for they kid.

The only thing I'd nit pick on that would be that the minipla end up transforming into clusterfucks too. But yeah, since they're small, it's much less of a deal
