Kami delivers again!
...But, does anyone feel like we're going at breakneck pace again? The MOTWs are getting resolved very quick and stuff. Ikki's already making speeches about Kamen Riding when he was hesitant about last week. Ah well. Evil looks amazing, though! I do like that they're keeping both suspects equally mysterious for it, like Kadota pointing his gun at his own team, although that could be a cop out of just Evil coming to ambush him. It's still Daiji. |

This week on Kamen Rider Revice:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But in all seriousness: As Rei mentioned, I like the how the show's hiding Evil's identity by playing up both Daiji and Hiromi as shady in this ep, Daiji with his questionable idea of using the VotW as bait to catch the traitor, and Hiromi with his... actual treachery in the very bringing of the ep. We seemingly got on-screen confirmation that Olteca and Julio use the Prototype Squid/Octopus and Wolf ViStamps. Lion Genome might not be my favorite form, but the Lion Remix looks very Zoids-esque which I love. |

Rewatching again, okay, I feel like Evil is Kadota, and then he loses the belt and then Daiji becomes Live.
I have substantial evidence! Kadota is holding the phone gun. One of Kadota's teammates say "Will everything go alright?". Kadota responds by giving a very suspecting smile, "Yeah, everything's going to be alright." before he points his gun at his team. The next scene we get of the FENIX team, everyone's knocked out including George. Kadota is missing. Daiji isn't responsive. This is evidence that Kadota is likely Evil. Although, it could also be Daiji aaah Last edited by TheRaizin; 10-02-2021 at 09:42 PM.. |

You know what, I agree. The reason I think so is because the way his faceplate is shaped. Like I said before, Evil's faceplate is a bat hanging upside-down with its wings wrapped around it. Clearly that has to be symbolism of some sort hinting at Evil's duality.

As I thought it seems the show wants to take the direction of Hiromi being KR Evil and then probably later the title be passed on Daiji.
BUT The ep tries SO HARD to make Hiromi look shady in every scene that it feels forced too much. So I don't know if that's really him in the end. I'm gonna say yes just because of the scene where he turned against his teammates. But i'm less sure now. Oh and George continues to be the best character. |

The interesting part is that George mentions that the Kong and Lion Vistamps were stolen. But he never stated that the Bat Vistamp was missing as well, even though we know he was in possession of it. Unless of course the theft of the Bat Vistamp was recent.

everyone and I (originally) think that Evil's identity is Kadota but I think he's just a red herring.
in this episode we are made to believe that Kadota is Evil because he behaved suspiciously throughout this episode but although it is possible that Kadota is Evil, I now believe that Evil user is no other than Daiji because Daiji as Evil will create an interesting conflict with Ikki. we don't know the concrete reason why Kadota is Evil user other than he has a desire to be a "Kamen Rider" while Daiji as we know besides he wants to be a Kamen Rider, Daiji also wants to be recognized as better than Ikki and besides that if Daiji is Evil it might be affect the Igarashi family relationship.

I feel like so much of this episode was in the subtext of meaningful looks on people's faces that I only really understood like a quarter of what it was "about" on a deeper level, but I'm still really liking what I'm seeing of this show. It's doing work with a bunch of characters at once (I especially like how Sakura has stuff going on, even though that's one of the things I only sort of got?), and it's staying on theme the whole time.
Introducing a punk teenager trying to stick it to The Man and having his whole redemption happen starting from the halfway point is weird – it feels like the resolution to an episode plot, as though this is a two-parter condensed into a single episode – but I don't know, I also sorta think that fits Revice? I'm not sure how well I can describe why. It's like the level of dramatic weight attached to the character matches the level of actual conviction he has in his goals? He's just some dumb kid, so yeah, sure, tell him to knock it off and get him doing some community service by the fifteen minute mark, sure; it's not like he's a bad guy or anything. And between that community service being a gig as live bait for monsters, and all the other questionable things people at Fenix are doing in this episode, it's not like the good guys don't look sorta bad, either! See? Always on theme! It definitely benefits a ton for Kamihoriuchi's direction, too. I said as much about his Saber episodes, but when you need someone for an episode with a ton of meaningful silent looks, he is your guy, without a doubt, and the action here is shot rather slick as well. I think I actually liked the mid-episode fight more than the climax, too, which is an odd feeling. And that abrupt introduction for the new Rider was sure something. It still works perfectly even if you're watching the whole episode knowing he was going to show up, because you'll be waiting to see what the context of that appearance is... and then there just isn't any, Vice gets smacked through the ceiling, and the episode is over. Obviously we'll probably be getting that context next week, but man, what a way to make a first impression.
