Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
This movie is what we've been waiting for. With this out of the way, we can finally begin transitioning into Phase 3. Hawkeye gets the best lines in this movie. It really feels like a step up from Thor and Avengers. The team has changed drastically by the end of the movie, with Cap, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Vision, War Machine, and Falcon being the new Avengers after Tony, Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye leave and Quicksilver being.... well..... Ultron kills Quicksilver. This movie felt like it set up Avengers: Infinity War more than Captain America: Civil War. I say that because this movie focuses on the fourth Infinity Stone, which is hidden inside Loki's scepter . Four down, two to go. My guess is that we'll see the fifth Infinty Stone in Doctor Strange. Let's do a head count here: We have the Tesseract/ the Space Stone, the Aether/ the Reality Stone, the Orb/ the Power Stone, and Loki's Scepter/ Vision/ the Mind Stone . |

I know you've tagged them and all, but was there much point in dropping so many spoilers in that post? You don't even really discuss half of them, you've just listed them.

I was typing it in school and the computer logged me out of Tokunation the first time I typed it. Stuff was explained better the first time. The second time was on the phone and was rushed.

Avengers 2 - It is so nice to walk into a movie and knowing very little about it thanks to my constant need to avoid every trailer, article, and promo possible as to not spoil anything for myself. This movie hands down meets all of its expectations you could expect from it. I wouldn't go out to say it is better than the first one, but it is definitely on par with it as the action is excellent, the acting is very good, there are some great moments of character development, and most of all, my god, Ultron is just so damn badass. The actors for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver was also incredible as was Vision. Once again the writers did a fantastic job of making the movie action packed, dramatic, and fun all in one package. So much so that I am now dreading the upcoming DC cinematic universe even more as everything DC has revealed looks desaturated and joyless. The biggest negative I have for the movie is how it was edited as there are some scenes that feel a little off as if they are missing a scene or two. Finally, there is a scene during the credits but the lack of one after the credits had ended met with loud disembodied moans and groans from the audience. IN the end, I give this movie a terrific 8/10 stars.

Avengers: Age of Ultron
First off, getting all my friends into the same theater was a hassle and a half, because half of them forgot or refused to by tickets early, forgetting this was a blockbuster EVERYONE has been waiting for, so we had to trade tickets at the counter for later and later showings, just so that the most of us can enjoy it together before it was Sold Out. On the the actual movie, it improved upon everything I found lacking in the Avengers (which I still love) and Iron man 3, since Rhodey got to fight without being remotely controlled or having his suit stolen. The Maximoffs were awesome, Ultron was fun to watch, and the team was just beautiful to watch work together. Great movie, and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in watching superheroes actually work together rather than fighting each other (besides the Hulkbuster fight, but you all know about that from at least one of the trailers). Also, nice small hints and set ups for Civil War. Tony has it coming

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods
I quite enjoyed it. I was surprised by how much humor was in it. I expected it to be super serious. Beers is probably my favorite DBZ antagonist, and I'd happily buy a Figuart of him if Bandai ever makes one. That final fight scene was fantastic. I still think that Super Sayian god sucks, since it's just Goku with red hair, and less muscle mass. I'm really confused as to whether or not this makes GT non-cannon, as Pilaf and co. are kids, but Goku NEVER went Super Sayian 4. So, yeah once I can afford it, I'll likely but the Blu-Ray or DVD.

The Man with the Golden Gun - One of Moore's best movies. It is a little too long, but then, the pacing would be fixed if they removed every scene with JW Pepper in it and Goodnight is one of the dumbest Bond girls ever, but it is still an enjoyable movie overall, Lee is an excellent villain and he really helps the movie a lot. In fact, I don't think the movie would be as good without him. I give it a 7/10 stars.

Anyway, I saw the movie again today and most of the things I had issues with yesterday were not present this time. I still wish they would have shown us them learning about Strucker and the Enhanced on screen though. Instead, we get Count Dooku 2.0. Last edited by Dr Kain; 05-02-2015 at 11:25 PM.. |
