MLP is just another hobby. Some make it an obsession, but anyone can obsess over anything. Just look at Prime and how many people write slashfiction and make creepy drawings of it. Doesn't mean every single fan of it is a creep. I don't like MLP, nad I will agree it sometimes gets insufferable when it's everywhere... but that has nothing to do with the subject matter. It doesn't make me hate all MLP fans or MLP itself, just the individuals that go out of their way to make it obscenely relevant. And I'm not talking about going off-topic every now and then, I'm talkign about the ones that go nuts. And again, any fan can do that, no matter what they're a fan of. Quote:
I've never seen any Toku fan, Trekkie, Star Wars fan, or any fanbase for that matter, go that far.

Ohmygod, why are we talking about Bronies and MLP in the Figuarts thread? Talking about it isn't going to make them talking about MLP any less annoyingly everywhere. It just makes the matter worse.
Yes, yay, some bronies had another off-topic conversation about ponies, but they were told respectfully to stop it and (hopefully) they will, so what is continuing the conversation of wether MLP and bronies are good or not going to achieve? Nothing. And now by saying I think people should stop talking about Bronies and bronies should stop off-topic talking about MLP, I am talking about MLP off-topic and Bronies. God, I can't win. |

Seriously guys this conversation ends now.
This thread has been way derailed. Take Bronie/Pony talk to the MLP thread. The occasional mention is no big deal but now 2 full pages of this thread have been taken up by it. And this isn't the first time a thread has been hijacked like this. Please try to keep a lid on off topic discussions. Any posts which further derail the topic will be deleted.

I have over 100 Figuarts, and maybe 20 SIC figures? One SIC set came from a forum member, one from HLJ, the rest from Mandarake. At least 90% of my Figuarts have come from Mandarake. It's the greatest place in the world to shop for Toku toys.
I visit Mandarake as much as I visit this forum, and FAR more than I do any other shopping site. It's an addicting place, so stay away from it! (more for me!) So, Fourze Base States is pretty awesome. I should not have gone so long without getting him. And in trying to set him up for a rocket drill kick, my first breakage of an Act 4 stage just occurred. The peg on the arm broke off inside the clip. Fudge! So I guess I'll put him on his bike instead. I recently picked up the R&M Knight Survive with DarkRaider set. My SHF Knight Survive is packed away because I'm moving in two weeks, but I have Ryuki Blank on my desk at work, so I brought the Bike in, and it's closely enough scaled that it works great. It looks pretty good, too. Not Figuarts level detail, but the paint is sufficiently shiny, and it looks cool, so my Knight Survive now has a bike. yay! I would buy the hell out of a Figuarts release of DarkRaider. |

Honestly, if I had a full time job, and was getting paid right now, I would have twice as many Figuarts as I do now. I would have Ryuga, Genocider, Magnuwhatever, all of the Kabuto riders, etc.

I've got a saved search for Dragranzer too. And I'm trying to find an R&M RideShooter or two as well, but they're pretty dang rare on Mandarake nowadays. The DX one I talked about recently I'm not pretty sure will NOT work, it's too small from what I can see. But the R&M/SH version will work.
