Lucky! Took me to he login page(which weird since I was already logged in) and then gave me the Maximum message again when I clicked login

I ended up on the login page for awhile too, but after enough bullheadedness it finally let me through past the max connections message.

The pre-order gods were benevolent today, got both Ribut and Zenkaiser on AmiAmi.

It wasn't a smooth experience, but it worked out in the end.
