I just watched it last night since I've gotten to GokaiSilver's episode in Gokaiger.
The Gokaiger content was pretty nice. The returning actors were fantastic. The Goseiger content.... now I understand why people don't necessarily like them. "We're looking for Gosei Knight!" "Never heard of em." "<presents Gosei Knight> This is him! Have you seen him??" Overall it was an alright thing to watch, though I will admit, its opening and ending fights are the only parts that mattered for me. As well as the credits song. <3 |

Copying and pasting my thoughts from HJU...
I think I like this movie a lot more then All Riders VS Dai Shocker. With Great Hero Battle, you get more of a feel that it's a "War". I also liked that we got to see a little bit more of what went on during the Legendary War. I have a couple of nitpicks with this movie, and it's the exact same one I had with Gaoranger VS Super Sentai...I wish they handled the splicing and editing of the older footage a little bit better. It was a bit jaring to see the sudden jump cut to the team's finishers during the fight scene. My second nitpick is...while I liked the fight with the Gokaiger, Goseiger, and the Older Super Sentai....I don't know if I like the idea that the older teams were basically treated as cannon fodder. |

Especially considering they're all perfectly strong whenever the Gokaigers use them. So... while I can see why that would bother someone, that's why it didn't get to me. XD;

I get the distinct impression that copies like Basco makes in the series, or the ones that Black Cross made in this movie aren't anywhere near as strong as their actual selves without anyone piloting them, so to speak.

I finally got to finish watching it and I thought it was pretty great all around. The Gokaigers were great and the Goseigers weren't terribly annoying. Some of the CG was pretty crappy, though. Also, I didn't have a problem with them cutting to footage of older teams doing their respective things. But then again, I was not watching it in HD, so the jump probably just wasn't as dramatic.

That's my reasoning too. Black Cross didn't summon 12 or 6 like Basco did, he summoned all 199. I'm sure that had something to do with diminishing their power...cause I'm sure that under normal circumstances, Gokaigers and Goseiger wouldn't have survived a blast from four Sentai cannons.
