Both the news and the police become interested in the "Mysterious Tire Men."

This is the kind of episode I've been waiting to see from this show, where the Boonboomgers' heroism is explored and challenged. Bun Pink saving the kid from getting running over reminds me of Sarubrother retrieving a kid's ball in an early episode of Donbrothers. It's only a small act of heroism compared to saving the world, but it shows the heroes' kindness and why they're saving the world in the first place.
I wonder if Bun Pink deliberately let herself be interrogated so Taiya could contact Shirabe, or if she didn't even consider that her suit could easily break the cuffs. I mean, there's no way a Boonboomger would be easily restrained by a standard issue pair of police handcuffs, right? Looks like my stopped clock metaphor actually continues with Mira always having bad luck while somehow bringing good luck to the team, similar to Lucky but without the obnoxious catchphrase spam. I can already tell I'm going to like Jou and now I get a better understanding of what his bio meant about him wanting to be a hero, despite already being a cop. Him being a cop put him in a difficult position where his job required him to prevent the Boonboomgers from leaving the base, which went against his reason for becoming a cop to help people. When he heard the civilians call for the Boonboomgers to help them instead, he knew that the police needs to do better and that starts with him letting the Boonboomgers go. I'm actually kind of excited to see how he fits in with them next episode. The ED theme has grown on me a little more as well. If I had to complain about anything this time, it's that my suspension of disbelief was broken when Bun Red used his Boonboom Handle to send the Sauna Automonster all the way around the world, especially since the attack wasn't even seen coming from Japan, absurdly. Reminds me of when Akaninjer did several laps of the planet and it was dumb then as well. I hope they tune down the slapstick on stuff like this. Sekaijuu ni hitori shika inai....

If they ever do the Combination Attack, perfection.
