Michi Yamato is at it again with Fujiyama Ichiban. While the original web series was aimed squarely at little kids, this version is being made with us painful, English speaking otaku in mind!
Yamato is getting pretty ambitious with this, asking $137,000 via Kickstarter and has put together a pretty impressive crew of toku pros to accomplish it. This is a chance to be a part of a tokusatsu and, hey, if he can get this one funded, that would probably lead to others. [youtube]FUJIYAMA ICHIBAN ULTIMATE

Oooh, I was only saying yesterday I want to get more actively involved with Kickstarters and then this comes along!
Definitely going to pledge in the next month!

Looks cool enough. I'll have to look into supporting this, since I've never supported a kickstarter before.

Hopefully this gets fully funded, I am more than comfortable pledging for this. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, I went in 25, maybe another without reward later. Let's repost this around - it ain't cheap and 28 days really isn't a long time to raise those funds. The bummer is, even if they get close, if they don't hit their goal, they don't get a dime. They're pretty much going to need all hands on deck.
I've done a few Kickstarters and will 'warn' you ahead of time that, more often than not, the actual project - and thereby rewards - aren't fulfilled around the estimated time given. So if you DO pledge - be patient, give the creators the time to finish the project without freaking out on them every day you haven't got your reward!
