March 26 2019 saw the last release of Hurricane Ranger on DVD. No word yet on 5 Man or the 2003 series that was to be adapted as Power Rangers Dino Thunder by Jetix

Standard rule of thumb is to NEVER refer to a specific Sentai by its translation.
That aside, Fiveman was teased but apparently cancelled while Abaranger (Dino Thunder source material) was not announced nor teased to my knowledge! Where Shout! stands with Hasbro calling the shots is anyone's guess. Kamen Rider seems to be the next big thing, but nothing is confirmed or even hinted at yet. Honestly, Shout! wasn't all that detailed with Sentai! They didn't give bonus features, detail, backstory, or have the Movie rights. It was a good thing that it happened, and the fact that it's easier to watch Sentai in an official capacity in the US than it is classic Power Rangers is something I wouldn't have foreseen 10 years ago! Mill Creek is making Shout! look bad as they have the virtual entirety of Ultraman to play with, and Mill Creek is moving much faster than Shout! ever did! Shout! and Hasbro have some kind of relationship as Shout! was the primary for Transformers and released Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory long before Saban and Shout! did Sentai. Five questions stand out: 1) - What is the current relationship between Shout! and Hasbro right now?, 2) - Will the potential for Kamen Rider overtake Sentai?, 3) - Were the Sentai sales strong enough to warrant a continuation of physical releases?, 4) - Could Toei forbid additional releases with Hasbro in play?, and 5) - Would Shout! change the dynamic of a physical release to compete with Mill Creek and Ultraman? |

The long SS hiatus is because Saban sold MMPR and SS to Hasbro. Shout Factory has to re-negotiate everything with Hasbro, now.

Giving me time to pick up the other 4 sets from Shout.
I do have 7 of them so hopefully they will keep going soon so we can get Go Busters which is Hasbro's first adaption. |
