Hence why I said when done right. Though a lot of the time it's not zordbuilder itself that was the problem, but Bandai being cheap. For instance Super Megaforce's Megazord could have easily had opening doors which revealed zordbuilder pegs, but Bandai went with the cheapest/easiest option and just slapped pegs on the surface of the Zords.

I hate to burst everyone's bubble here but Hasbro's pretty infamous for cheaping out like BOA with Transformers.
So there's no guarantee we'd get better quality zords from them. |

I'm most concerned about the figures. Hasbro does a lot of budget garbage, and I'm not interested in Rangers with 5 points of articulation. Everyone assumes PR would get black series/legends style figures, but Hasbro could very well see how poorly the legacy line is doing and not want to get into that.

They could also do like they're doing with the Transformers TV show lines and just making things more simplified and not good.
But Legacy MMPR villain figures? I'd still be down for that |

Just because TFs 5 years ago were better than TFs today doesn't change that current day TFs are still far better toys than what BOA was putting out.

And this comes only a few days after I made a post saying that I didn't think a move from Bandai was ever gonna happen Well I have to say I'm more than happy to eat crow on this - I genuinely thought this really would never happen but I'm more than happy to be wrong.
However the move turns out, change is what this franchise has sorely needed for a long time now. Despite some of the criticisms levied towards Transformers these days, those toys are still far more appealing to me than anything Bandai have put out in recent years and if Hasbro can handle a Power Rangers collectors line the way they do with Star Wars or Marvel then I think it's going to be in good hands. All I have to hope now is that distribution isn't terrible over here like it is for Transformers

Honestly, for as cheap as Hasbro can be at times, their quality far exceeds that of BOA. I can't speak for the Transformers line, but as a Marvel Legends collector, they've been producing some pretty good stuff lately. And even their Star Wars figures are seeing a noticeable increase in quality.
And with Hasbro not shying away from C and even D-listers in their Legends line or obscure background characters in their Star Wars line, it's definitely possible they won't just keep milking MMPR over and over again. They also do a far better job of getting their female characters to sell. I'd say Hasbro is definitely a step up from BOA, as long as they put as much effort into marketing their PR line as they do Transformers, Marvel Legends and Star Wars.
