Honoring power rangers, beetleborgs, VR troopers & mystic knights.
If you created your own toku series in America or Canada, what theme would you create with? |

I'd like to see a return to VR Troopers or Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad. I just don't have a good idea in my head yet.

This is about creating your own toku series. Not adapting.

I'd create a series about knights who protect the world from demons of Hell. They would be called The Order of The God. The God are a council of rulers n Heaven and their names vary upon the culture that believes in them. Akuma is name of the current King of Hell, who wants to take over the world for his own rule.

Mine would be an ordinary teenager in hishe real world who was a fan of power rangers and when monsters invade he gains the power of a henshin hero
The series would be him taking his powers seriously realising the rangers show and real life will not work the same way despite his best friend now treating it like such |

Since Nick's Supah Ninjas was a disappointment.
My tokusatsu would be about 5 kids chosen by an illusionist who is also a ninja master. They learn to master their mystical-technological armors and collect magical medals that have been scattered all over the globe. And together they protect the world from the forces of the Netherrealm, who are manipulating human criminals into doing their plans. |

I'd have a series that's similar to Kamen Rider (in terms of suit appearance). Story would be like this:
There's a high school teenager who is adopted and has been coping with that fact all his life. He was an orphan and spent years at an orphanage and was only adopted at age 13. Three years later, now 16, he keeps getting migraines and having weird dreams about a dark, shadowed figure that attacks him. One day he's at the mall with his female companion who he's crushed on for years but she's totally oblivious and he's too shy to make a statement about it. Will come back later in the series. While shopping (around Christmas time), he gets a migraine. In the middle of the migraine, another teenager leaps from the second level to the first, yells at him, and begins running towards him. As he runs, he pulls out a belt, puts it on, activates it, yells out "HENSHIN!", and transforms in to the shadowed figure that was in our main character's dream. The main character gets smacked around a bit, but it isn't until his female friend is in danger that the migraine goes away and he's blinded by a flash of light. He sees a figure shrouded in nothing but white light who tells him his destiny is to protect the light and defeat the darkness. This mysterious figure hands him a belt and says "Good luck my son", to which our main character cries out "What did you mean by that?" only to be taken back to reality. The evil figure turns and sees he has a belt, and our main hero attaches it, activates it, yells out "HENSHIN" and transforms in to our hero. He then battles the dark armored figure and wins as the evil character disappears in to a cloud of shadows. The evil figure will appear for a few episodes as the first arch's main villain, revealing to our hero what's really going on - that there's a war happening between the light and the darkness. Apparently the forces of light were losing and hid away three chosen heroes that would one day defeat the darkness. On his 16th birthday, when the migraines started, the darkness became aware of his existence and sent their strongest warrior to defeat him. Now, he must defeat the darkness and find the other two chosen warriors of light. There would be action, comedy, drama, romance, betrayal, and so much more.

How about a show involving riders on dragons? Like how to trai. Your dragon and dragon booster?
These dragons however will look similar to those forms myths and legends around the world. |

I've had so ideas about a Power Rangers adaption of Go-Busters that would lead to a season that consists of different rangers from different teams working together to fight one major threat. It's going to take a while (2 years) because 1.) I still need to get the ideas written down somewhere, 2.) I want to see what elements of Go-Buster are used in Dino Charge and Dino Super Charge before I attempt said adaption. hopefully this one doesn't end up like the Maskman adaption I had in mind......

I've had this idea in my head for YEARS.
It's a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and one village of people managed to find one of the last habitable cities in the world, which they name "Sanctuary". These people inhabit this city and fortify it to protect from outside threats, and raise their kids in the city, sheltering them from life in the wasteland and effectively creating a utopian society. There's one boy and his sister who have always pondered about life outside of Sanctuary and despite persistently requesting that their father let them explore, he commands them to stay inside. One day, raiders attack the village and the boy and his sister are forced to flee to the outside world, and are saved by a cyborg ninja named Kokurai. Kokurai is basically a Kamen Rider homage. He was a man turned into a cyborg, and his new cyborg body helped pave the way for the Sentinel gear, a technological advancement that would temporarily change its user into a cybernetic armored fighter. Kokurai, during testing, was forced to kill 10 other people who were modified in different ways. This experiment was done to test out who had the most powerful armor. As the story goes on, the murders he's committed and his cybernetic body cause him to steadily lose his humanity, and begin transforming into a robot monster. Upon escaping the corporation, he manages to steal 6 of the Sentinel gears, handing them out to those he deems strong enough to help him take down the corporation, so that he may finally have his revenge. One of the receivers of the gear is an older man, who was alive from before the apocalypse came. Wanting to take down the corporation himself for all of the evil they have caused, yet feeling that he may die soon, he mentors the young boy, who reminds him of himself when he was younger, so that the boy can succeed him. The gears are handed out to other people, including his sister, and one thing worth noting is that as Kokurai hands out these gears, the people who receive them (including one of the main antagonists of the series) become more and more amoral each time, symbolizing how his gradual loss of his humanity causes him to care less about the moral character of the people he recruits. Regardless, the boy, after ascending to a role as team leader, tries to get them to work together for the greater good.
