So, I was thinking about the Potential behind making a Lego Kamen Rider Theme and have realized something about it: It could be as large as/part of the Lego Super Heroes Theme. I mean, Kamen Rider is one of the allowed themes for Lego Ideas Sets, so there is the potential for a Lego Kamen Rider Set.
And, looking at Lego Super Heroes, there are a lot of parallels with Kamen Rider. There could be at least 3 Parts for the Lego Kamen Rider Theme: the Sculptures, aka the Buildable Heads (in the cases of Carnage and Venom), Cowls (Batman), and Helmets (Iron Man), the Buildable Figures, and the Minifigure-scaled Builds. The Sculpture Part of the Theme would be pretty obviously based upon the Masks of the Kamen Riders, but also some of the key Weapons. I mean, they made a Mjolnir/Thor's Hammer Set, so some sets based upon the Kamen Rider Weapons would make sense. And, also part of the Lego Super Heroes Theme is the Infinity Gauntlet, which has tons of room for making a Lego Ankh's Hand. Meanwhile, the Buildable Figures end of the Toyline could be very Bionicle/Hero Factory-inspired. I mean, they made a Hero Factory Villain called "Splitface" whose whole getup reminds me a lot about Kamen Rider Double/Build. Plus, Bionicle and Hero Factory both had Vehicles which were made to be compatible with their respective Buildable Figures, which some, if the figures they come with were the Kamen Rider Figures, could be as Large as Double's RevolGarry. So I say they could even do some of the Mech Forms (Suika Arms, the Time Mazine, Breaking Mammoth, but maybe not the Kingexcalibur in its humanoid form). So, the Rider Machines are a possibility. And the Minifigure-scaled Builds could easily be based upon Key locations from the Kamen Rider Series, like their home bases, the DenLiner, or the places where key battles have occurred. I mean, this could be a great idea. |

I think this would thrive best with buildable roleplay gear and the constraction sets. Sell base forms as whole kits and the alt forms as little booster packs where possible. Minifigs could work but there aren't a whole lot of iconic places for them to build sets around, at least not ones that make INTERESTING sets. Doubles garage base and Fuuto tower, the stone tower temple thing from Ghost, the Rabbit Hutch from Fourze, sure, but like.. the ice cream shop from OOO? The hospital from Ex Aid? I think the buildable hero factory types just work best here. Plus, any left overs from bionicle or hero factory would make kickass villains to fight

Man, those Mega-Bloks sets actually look pretty good.
But, of course, they ended at Hibiki, so that means Kabuto - Revice haven't been done yet. Also, not Kuuga-Ryuki or most of the Showa Riders. Quote:

Also, when it comes to places, there are quite a few places which could be built. Some battle scenes include, well, here is a list of some Tokusatsu Filming Locations. https://tokusatsunetwork.com/2019/11...ing-locations/ |
