I know there are just random insect mechs roaming around, what with the pillbugs and snails kind of walking about town.
But where in the hell did a second God Kuwagata come from? The first one was a big deal, and they just manage to stumble upon a second one? And I doubt Racles's team could've built one, since they made a deal to point out that N'Kosopa was responsible for repairing God Kabuto.

(Only saw the raws) During Racules monologue at the end, I distinctly heard his sword announce it as; God Kuwagata "Zero"
So I guess it's a prototype that was somehow reactivated? And possibly we'll be shown the specifics during the TV Special thing Racules is gonna have? |

I always found dark mecha like Gao Hunter and Killer Oh intimidating for their ability to steal and brainwash mecha from the heroes to fight against them. The first time we see God Kuwagata Zero, they're already part of King-Ohger Kabuto Zero like it's no big deal, which makes it a pretty big deal! That's a strong debut for sure, on a totally different level from the recent Black Don Onitaijin and Black Zenkai Oh.
By extension, this makes Racles more dangerous as well. Other than having a lot of hidden assets, he's a skilled manipulator as well. He warmly welcomed Gira back to Shugoddam as a prince to show there were no hard feelings for him taking two Shugods, his Ohger Calibur and his cool poncho. So when Gira, in public and in his King of Evil persona, spits on the title of prince, takes Sasorinne's soul and threatens a coup, Racles has no problem convincing the citizens he's the victim in this scenario. Kaguragi clearly hasn't taken any of Gira's speech to heart and continues to do Racles' bidding, even after the latter tried to extort the rulers to relinquish their sovereignty to him. I really hope that guy finds his spine at some point and remembers that he's supposed to a proud and powerful lord, not a weak-willed conformist. However, I wonder if Racles is also being manipulated somehow, by Bugnarok. I've seen other people point out how Kamejim evaded Kamakiri-Ohger, but carelessly lost Sasorinne's soul to Hachi-Ohger, almost like he knew Kaguragi would deliver it to Racles. It's definitely suspicious and suggests that there's more to the prophecy than a clear-cut war between good and evil. Bugnarok's advantage isn't only in their raw power, but in their unity, which ironically is a serious problem for this Sentai that can't get along. Oh and Himeno's new hair was nice.

This is the season in which I love the villains who can be viewed as absolute scum and villainy, yet are delightful to watch or not entirely wrong. Ha ha!
I was thinking that this started out a little too well, and I feel there's more to Gira's kidnapping story than we got here, but it's definitely a good start going into the rest of the story. The Bugnarok are continuing to employ Attack on Titan references and Racles is now really going down to force everyone to swear loyalty to him (which again, me being the scum that I am still think he's not entirely wrong to want control over King Ohger) and bringing Gira's villainy into the limelight. I feel like letting the Kingdoms fight against each other while the Bugnarok secretly plot their conquest is exactly their plan, including letting Sasorinne's spirit fall into the Kings' hands. I'm probably going to bet Gira was taken by Kuwagon, either by some other force or it thinks Racles is falling to the dark side, since we know he can commune with him. But I could also be completely off the mark, so I won't think too much on that front. Next Episode: Who's ready for more KWEEN! *violent coughing*
