Busters, Ready, Go! Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters is in it's final stretch with only a handful of episodes left to go. But before we say goodbye to Go-Busters and hello to Kyoryuger, we here at Tokunation.com are goingto to take an in depth look back at the DX toyline of this controversial series.

The first entry in the DX Buster Machine Series is none other than the CB-01 Go-Buster Ace! Piloted by Red Buster and his Buddyroid Nick Cheeda, the Go-Buster Ace is the first mecha of the series. Capable of fighting Vagras Megazords independently or combined with the other buster machines, the Ace is a memorable and unique design.

The end of Go-Busters is a chance to remember it for it's innovation for some, or to celebrate it's demise for others. What ever side of the fence you stand on please join as we begin our extensive look back at the ENTIRE line of DX Go-Busters mecha!

How much articulation is in his arms? It looks like he can do more then you're average DX toy can.

So I see the whole hollow legs thing wasn't a problem that the Candy Toy just had…couldn't they have figured out some way to use a folding panel to cover that huge gap in his leg?

The elbow is double jointed, and the shoulder can move side to side as well. Think Oh Robo/Zeo Megazord arm articulation. As for the empty legs, I see it is a by-product of the transformation. Since the thighs collapse into that space in vehicle and animal modes I don't see too many good ways they could have fixed it.

No worries! I made it actually. Just a couple of desk lamps, cardboard, and tissue paper :lol

This guy certainly was a very ambitious toy. Do you know if the ambitiousness of the toy sacrificed any bit of his durability? Are they the same strong, clicky joints of previous Super Sentai mecha?

I've also heard the ball joint connecting the sword has the potential to cause stress marks.

Same strong joints, I'm happy to report! The Gorilla is the only figure in this line that has weak clips since they break rather easily.

And I can certainly see where the ball joint in the hand could stress but mine hasn't at all. It's a pretty well designed joint overall. Unless you just continuously man-handle it I believe it should be fine.

Not going to lie, I can't wait for the American Go-Busters adaptation just to get this guy. I LOVE Zords which turn into their own stand alone mecha, then pieces of a larger one.

Great gallery! I think if I pick up any recent DX mecha, its going to be this guy. He's one of the coolest Sentai mecha in years.

For some reason he reminds me of Speedor from Go-onger. Maybe it's the red with the face on the front.

That having been said I do like his robot mode. Very nicely proportioned and the design looks very sharp. Nice gallery, Den-O!

CB-01 was the dark horse of this line. He has strong car and robot modes and a serviceable cheetah mode, plus he can move around a bit. If this is brought over stateside I just may get it.

Another great Video, Den. Ace is one of the best things to come out of Go-Buster, and the toy looks amazing. But I think they missed a trick by not having the 'Headder' Combine with Gosei Great somehow.

Ace is a fantastic and overlooked figure. When I first handled it last year I was astounded by how innovative the design was. It definitely is the best figure from that line. Although I do love Tategami Li-Oh as well.

All the Go-Buster robots with 3 forms were decent DX toys IMO. Ace is my fav, though he has the problem of having no thighs. Beet would be so much better if his arms weren't as long.

And if he could actually balance in Hercules mode :lol Stag weighs the front down so much that it barely stands up straight.

Ace is a nice design and all, but Beet is completely superior. Nice gallery and video review, anyway.

Say what now? If you mean in show that the Beet looks cooler then yeah Id probably agree. But as toys? The Ace is far superior. Beet just has too many poor design flaws.

Besides, I'm someone who believes, unless you have the toy, you have no right to talk about it in regards to QC.

:lol My bad. It's not necessarily that Beet has QC problems as he does design flaws anyways.

the interesting thing i liked about the go-buster line is that each zord is able to at least have 3 ways to fool or display with instead of the usual 1 mecha that just transforms and stuff

Ace, Beet, Stag, and Li-Oh are great with multiple modes. The Beet's robot/combined forms aren't perfect but it does such a good job going from crane to Beetle that I can forgive it.

Gorilla is just a hollow shell in animal form which is a shame, Rabbit doesn't do a lot, and Frog is just a really sad remold :(
