Honestly, I think all Riders have their own merits, even if I don't like a season for what it is, someone else does. If I had to pick, Blade. Better acting, less annoying Mutsuki and more character development for Kenzaki (I like how Kouta was handled until the end, he didn't feel stereotypically bland (and even if he did at least there was a reason unlike Kenzaki with the cliche "my parents died")) would skyrocket that shoe from 2nd favorite Rider show to 1st.

But if Blade's acting were better we'd miss out on all the wonderful memes!

Anyone think it was a lost opportunity to not have Foundation X as the main antagonist group in a KR series? I feel they could have had SO much potential in propelling a series.

Would be cool if Heisei rider no.20 faces foundation x if Toei goes that route.

I'd have to go with Faiz. I love the suits, both rider and Orphenoch, and it hits almost all the core notes of Kamen Rider in one show, making it a good base for any follow-up series to build upon.

Probably the single biggest change I would make would be to add one unique color to each Orphenoch, very sparingly. Just enough to pick out some of the details that get lost in the grey. Also, would make some interesting foreshadowing for the nature of the riders.

Also, the Orphenochs don't look nearly as much like traditional toku monsters. It might just be the monochrome talking, but they don't look as... I hate saying goofy, as it's not quite the word I'm looking for, but... they're designs that don't immediately scream "Kid's show" as much as most other toku shows. Heck, even Amazons had a few designs that kind of had that feeling for me, and I like that show.

In the modern age, you put an actor in a rubber suit, it's gonna look like a kid's show to 99% of people out there. I have friends who I know would love Amazons, if they just gave it a chance. But they look at those suits and all they hear in their heads is "Go! Go! Powerrrangerz!!!". Of course these same people have no qualms paying 20 bucks to watch Marvel do the same thing...

I think it might be because having well known celebrities as superheroes nobody's ever heard of with good CG action for a one time experience makes it easier for people to get into it. Compared to a lower budget tv series which requires a bigger time investment with actors nobody has ever heard of.

First of all, Kingpin and Kilgrave, second, that wasn't my argument, my argument was that Marvel MCU villains are clearly not rubber suits and are capable of showing facial expressions, which automatically makes them look less childish

There's also anti-villain Yondu from Guardians, who was incredibly expressive, despite being blue with a mohawk :p

It's really an apples to oranges comparisons because the closest Marvel has gotten to resembling a toku series are Iron Man (Whose film series is complete) and Ultron (Who was only in one movie).

Hey Im starting on decade and Heard there a cliffhanger or changed ending to the final chapter of decade so can someone guide me through these multiple endings?

The last scene of the final episode was changed on subsequent re-airings of the show. The general idea remains the same, but some specific details were taken out and replaced with some reused footage. The idea was probably to make it fit better with the movie that served as Decade's finale, but honestly neither one does anything to make that movie less confusing. There were a lot of dropped balls with Decade.

The movie is weird enough, but the original trailer is just nuts.

I would love to hear the creators of Decade sit down someday and explain just exactly what the hell was up with that trailer.

After the last episode of Decade aired, there was a trailer for the upcoming Movie Wars film that was going to wrap up the series. It was full of footage that was nowhere in the actual film, including Tsukasa meeting an evil version of himself on a beach and Natsumi running around in military garb with an assault rifle. None of that even remotely resembled the movie we ended up with.

Has there ever been a better starting stretch to a Kamen Rider series than what we're seeing with Ex-Aid? We're 11 eps in now and it's been week after week of high impact story building. Gotta love where this series is headed!

- IMO Kuuga's first four episodes are all classics.

- People seem to disagree with me on this but I also think Drive came out of the gate really dang strong.

- Gaim. No really, I said that. Some people seem to look at everything before the Christmas stuff/you know who's death as though it was almost a different show, but Gaim did a lot of super important setup in a way where you wouldn't even notice it's happening because it's seemlessly blending into a solidly paced set of episodes that work great even just on their own merits.

Hibiki starts off pretty strongly. Dunno if it's the greatest, but it was before they blew the budget and the forest scenes are awesome.

In terms of sheer "keep watching, this shit is nuts", though, Ex-Aid is the top.

This isn't a complaint but, am I the only one getting a very claustrophobic feel from Ex-Aid? Even when they're outside (typically on a stage), the show feels like it's taking place in or around the hospital. It's kind of hard to elaborate on but, it feels very odd.

Definitely agree on this. I think Ryuki had a good early run of episodes, too. Going back to the Showa era I always enjoyed early X with the Ryoko/Kiriko mystery and Black's early episodes were really good, too, before it started becoming more episodic.

Sad to say, the 2nd half is the sole reason why I won't watch Hibiki, even though the 1st half from the sound of it, was very different than a normal rider season.

Don't worry. I still haven't finished Hibiki because I don't want to sit through the second half :lol

I think you're really missing out otherwise. Hibiki was a pretty cool show.

The ending of episode 29 works well enough as an ending. It's not incredibly satisfying, but it leaves off on a good, happy moment.
