I love the designs in Shin, and what they were trying to do with the story was okay but... it just fell apart when they tried to execute it. I’ve tried watching it twice now and have fallen asleep both times. :T

I don't hate it, but it's definitely not the best execution of the ideas within. The effect work is gorgeous, but the plotting is messy, the characters are a little bland, and the fact it never gets a definite ending is a misstep in hindsight. That being said, Shin (the character) is one of my favourite riders in recent years, mainly due to how much pity a Decade web-movie can give.

I like the ending theme song of Shin. It suits the film. Flop or not it had its moments. Funny thing Ishinomori considered BLACK Kamen Rider 0 in terms of back to basics like I said before but apparently according to the Japanese wikipedia page he also dubbed this no.0 later on from what I picked up at a glance. It is interesting to see him be fixated on this whole back to basics thing during his late years. Fun fact his son Joe Onodera who was Kotaro's friend in RX also appears as a support role this time again as one of Shin's buddies, but different person from RX.

I like Shin for a lot of the same reasons I like The Next,..the horror movie elements in a Rider story.

If you guys could add one guest character in the Climax Fighters for the PS4, who would it be? I would pick Skullman or 009 from Cyborg 009 because I feel like those two have some connection to Kamen Rider.

Supaidaman would be neat.

Other Tokusatsu heroes, in general, could be fun. Add Ultraman with a miniature city-level so it seems like giants are fighting, add a Sentai Red who summons his team for attacks, a Metal Hero of sorts etc.

I feel in recent years, Toei love to make some of funny general villains. Example:

1. Brain (Drive)
2. Igor (Ghost)
3. Ren Amagasaki (Ex-Aid)
4. The 3 Smash Generals from Hokuto (Build)

Maybe Toei want to make story to become not too serious and not too dark?

sometimes a comedy can enhance a horrific situation. For example if dracula walk down a stair case then tripped but was completely unhurt by the fall. it would be momentarily funny but you would then realize that this guy didn't get hurt at all and is only mildly annoyed meaning hitting him won't help because crashing down stairs barely phases him.

the 3 hard smash are the same thing their morons but then you realize one they turned into smash of their own will and 2 they know what their doing with all that power means your in trouble. Granted these 3 don't know anything more complicated that hit something till it dies and all 3 attack at once so far but their dangerous enough as is. and that their idiots means they could do something catastrophic and not realize they have done it until its too late so giving 3 idiots super human powers is funny but horrifying at the same time. Same with igor hes an idiot but his science is more like a child playing with insects and pulling their legs and claiming he is a scientist.

We could have a sequel to Kamen rider Black Rx ?

Probably not. Even if we do get something after the show it would be probably a movie special like Kamen Rider 1. Personally BLACK RX being the end of it all is fine by me.

I haven't seen Fourze yet but judging the trailers for it on YouTube it definitely looks, "Kiddie".

It does have some dark moments, but it still very upbeat. The show came out during the 2011 Earthquake and Toei wanted to do a more silly show to cheer up kids & people in general. So I respect them for doing that.

Fourze was made intentionally more lighthearted and happy to help kids who were traumatized by the Fukushima earthquake. It's not that silly, though, compared to some of the stuff we got in Drive and Ghost, both of which leaned really hard into slapstick comedy. I've always felt that those two shows got a little goofier as a backlash against how dark Gaim got.

donæt get me wrong, I enjoyed Fourze, exept when the "subtle" frendship theme got a bit too powerfull, like during the final battle with Sagitarius

and now I'm looking forward to that even more.

I started watching V3 the past couple weeks (as well as Faiz, I bounce back and forth between Showa and Heisei).

I was really surprised that people were getting stabbed and stabbed in the face, the guy with the buzzsaw arm totally lopped someone's head off. I was watching it on my phone in the waiting room of a Doctors office and burst out laughing when that happened. Just totally wasn't expecting to see a rolling head in a Kamen Rider episode.

....I like this series so much. Even Ryuki which I wasn't crazy about I still really enjoyed in a lot of ways. Kamen Rider is just a lot of fun.

It was never subtle to begin with and that's what made the final battle work.

I know. My point was that I don't feel it ever got too powerful because it was ridiculous right from the get-go.

There are dozens of Rider shows that play final fights completely straight, so the fact Fourze stayed true to itself right to the end made it far more unique (and IMO, enjoyable) experience.

I don't think Gaim was that dark. It had a more serious story, but you still had goofy comedy here and there.

It got dark, but I wouldn't call it dark. It grew more serious as time went on.

have to agree it was fairly straight forward in that you knew people turned into monsters and you also saw the riders were beta testing the drivers then everything goes nuts and it turns into the battle of the upgrades to see who can upgrade faster

Changerion didn't have a motif. He had a common color scheme between his personal weapons, which they themselves didn't really have a theme to, but he himself didn't really have a motif. I guess you could debate that his motif is alien-esque technology but that's kind of a stretch.

he looks more like a metal hero than a kamen rider. plus he has a lot more armor he looks more like the robot you see that assists the hero

So ever notice that the 3 main riders of Faiz's photon blood color(the lines on the suits) are as a collective identical to RCA cables? Red, yellow, white. Coincidence? Thoughts? This is not confirmed trivia as far as I know but just noticed it.

I'm inclined to say it's just coincidence, but Faiz always has more surprises hidden, I'm sure.

Am I the only one who absolutely despises gemncorp? Everyone else has either never heard of them or doesn't see what the problem is. We already have one relatively fast sub group that does an okay job, we don't need a faster one that does a godawful job.

overall though ive see some various qualities of subbing im not sure who is who anymore but some are ok some are not i think you find the one you think does the best job and use them.

Anyone know why Wakana went evil in Kamen Rider Double? It's like she was ready to leave with Philip and then her Father showed her something and boom. No explanation why she really changed.
